    I think this is a step in the wrong direction. Id rather have them throttle my torrent or whatever

    You're just falling into their trap. Later they'll cancel this and say "the only way to avoid this is by throttling", and you'll say "whew! I'm ok with that!"

    If you don't stand up for your rights, who will?

    Add an awesome future to Microsoft's LGPL version, and relicense it as GPL.

    The community version will then become better than the official version, and everybody will start using it. BWAHAHAHA.

    Unless we're working with libraries. I'm really not sure what would happen in that case. See, if you modify a library you're legally obligated to release the changes into the public. This is perfect for APIs and things that require interoperability.

    Actually, you can run multiple VM's at the same time and have them use their own private network (but good luck setting up non-nat network). Along with the shared files, I think it can do most of what you require.

    The only difficult part would be running xbox halo, sorry. No "don't shut down the server" for you :)

    HTML5 is a working draft, far away from even a Candidate Recommendation. It's a bit early to start implementing

    Just the same thing IE devs said about the latest CSS specs.

    With Windows 7 around the corner, it'll be another 2 or 3 additional years at least for Midori to start going mainstream.

    By that time, I predict that either GNU/Linux will take over the desktop, or that ReactOS will reach version 1.0 and people will start migrating to it.

    Is having an e-mail address a right or a privilege?
    Is the internet a right or a privilege?
    Is reading newspapers a right or a privilege?
    Is free speech a right or a privilege?

    In the information era, not having internet access will put you in a situation where others have advantage over you. This has not only social, but economical consequences.

    Imagine a country where only the privileged ($$$) have internet access, and it's censored by the government. You can't really talk about what you want, you can't transfer information, you can't download Linux because it would take weeks (and therefore you have to get it from magazines one-year-old, and that's if you can find them)

    Well, you get the idea.

    Actually my point was that guys who want to pirate movies WILL resort to torrent sites. It's ridiculous to say they're confused.

    Now what I'd like to find are legal music purchase sites. The problem is, I'm scared of my bank account being drained so it's safer to just download from torrent sites than from a relatively unknown mp3 store. I'd only trust sites like Amazon (still waiting for their intl. sales to open).

    I try not to talk loudly around it, and make sure it's emotional needs are met.

    No wonder sensitive data is lost so easily in Microsoft Windows... it's still scared of the chairs.

    There are exceptions though. A lot of Japanese games are quite "slow" and have a lot of puzzles, especially RPGs.

    I think you hit the nail on the head. While US TV shows and movies are crappy quality, there are still very good animes being produced.

    It's the same with videogames. Japanese RPGs keep being interesting, with their sidequests, drama and everything.

    From this perspective, it's not videogames per-se whose quality is decreasing, but american videogames, american TV shows, american movies, american companies, american government...

    Hmmm I think I found a pattern here...
