  1. Probably so. I would imagine it'd work. Again, it works for electric utilities in the US. What we have now, in terms of ISP's in the US, are truly awful.

  2. I still buy CD's reguarly on Best Buy Stops Selling Music CDs (cbsnews.com) · · Score: 4, Insightful

I still buy CD's regularly. Luckily, I've got quite a few local retailers that sell an awesome variety of CD's, at much better prices than Best Buy.

That being said, good for Best Buy. Best Buy customers are the bottom of the market (the poor, the unsophisticated, and the uneducated), and I would imagine that very few of their customers buy CD's any more (as evidenced by their CD sales). I doubt these people are buying CD's anywhere else, either. I agree with them that most of their customers just stream everything, and quit caring about hearing music in the context of albums or sound quality decades ago (if they ever did).

What the hell are these investors investing in? This is a company that sells $10 bills for $5. This is one of the stupidest business models I think I've ever seen (and I'm kinda' old).

There have been many. What happens is they get flooded with people from 3rd world countries, willing to do the work for pennies an hour. If you want to work as a "gigger" for tech stuff, then you'll be competing against people from Vietnam willing to do the same fork for $1/hour.

I have to say that Microsoft makes the best mice on the market, as far as I can tell. I've got I think 4 different ones. Some small, some full sized. Some really wacky, like The Wedge. In an age of cheaper, cheaper, and cheaper, Microsoft seems to be the only maker of quality mice.
