I specifically live in places where I don't have to be around Trump people. My family and I won't live near these mouth breathers. Life is simply too short to interact with people like that. I find it's strange that the author of this indicates that being around people who talk about 'I hate Trump' as a negative.
... you buy your members of Congress BEFORE they write the laws. But, you can always pay them to change them back, too. From what I've seen, congresspeople are *significantly* cheaper than a lawsuit.
It's a terrible company run by terrible people because it can be. The product that they sell is given to them for free by billions of really, really dumb people. Any company that makes money this easily isn't necessarily going to be run by the best and brightest because it's simple not necessary. I would imagine that even the Trump family couldn't fuck up Facebook if anybody were insane enough to let them run it.
I couldn't care less about my phone hardware. They're all roughly the same. I have an "Alcatel", which I've never heard of before, outside of really old VOIP stuff from a few decades ago. As long as it runs the software I like (I like Windows Phone), I don't care who makes it.
How can you trust a company that drops old products so completely, so quickly?
Because Microsoft rarely does this, especially when compared against other companies in the consumer electronics industry. Windows 8 was a dud, so they gave everybody the new version of their software in order to move on, at no cost. Their other platforms are generally supported, much, much longer than other players in the industry support their respective platforms. We're still happily using Windows 7, and will for at least a few more years.
It's a dead platform because you couldn't get the tools you needed to get stuff done? Well than you for your decision, King Greer. Since my Windows Phone does everything I need, do I have to give it up, too? May I keep using it, even though you've designated it to be a "DEAD PLATFORM"?
I've found nothing better than Outlook tasks. Tons of flexibility in how you use them. Already integrated with Calendar and Email. They're pretty darn good.
I agree. Uber gets people because people are inherently dumb and lazy. They get to get paid for driving around while staring at their phones, which is what most Americans do all day, anyway. There's no barrier to entry, so you're right, people don't even consider the costs. They see "Drive with phone = money". That's it.
Apple stuff is generally considered to be among the longest-lasting in the industry.
What industry is that? I know they make entry-level consumer gadgets and some entry-level PC's, and in both of those industries, they provide some of the shortest support windows and the shortest "upgrade" cycles.
That's for versions already released. I imagine they'll release another version long before the earlier ones run out of support. Microsoft hasn't said that they're discontinuing Windows Phone 10.
I don't need to speak for myself. I'm speaking for the modern society that I'm a part of. If you don't like it, you should move to a different society. There are all sorts on the planet. You could even live in the middle of the ocean, where there's no government and no society. Out there you do all sorts of stupid shit with your money with nobody telling you that it's a bad idea.
VOIP is largely unregulated. It needs to be regulated. The current federal government won't do that. They're too busy stuffing their pockets with "campaign donations" from AT&T, Time-Warner, and Comcast.
You're kidding yourself if you think that you can do anything on a smart phone with any level of privacy. Between the cell providers and the OS providers, you're owned as soon as you turn it on.

Sweet Jesus, I would never do banking on a phone. That's a terrifying idea.

Congresspeople only cost a few thousand a year: http://www.businessinsider.com...
A basic, simple, straightforward lawsuit between two individuals or small companies is going to start in the six figures.
1. "implicature" is not a word.
2. You probably meant to use the word "implication", but even that word doesn't make sense in this context.

What are these regulations you talk about? What regulations apply to ISP's today in the US?

You're nuts. Github was unusable for a couple of weeks.

Informally, it's already here. I don't know where Trump people are finding jobs these days. I don't know anybody who hires them.

You got rid of a phone because you thought other people were getting rid of their phones? What sense does that make?
Microsoft not only yanked the phones from its mall stores
I bought this phone in a Microsoft mall store this winter.
they also stopped all updates to the OS
Nope, got one last week.
and disabled WiFi in the OS
I'm posting this over wifi now.
Is there like some tech version of Infowars that you spend time reading, or something?

Uh-oh. I think that some dumb people are going to be in a lot of trouble.
Windows Phone 10 is still alive and well. It's still a better phone OS than the other two.

That's right. That's part of the function of government, as we, as modern societies, have agreed on.
I don't need faster cell or wired Net service. I need more reliable. Faster without reliability is useless to me.

Ma Bell has allowed phone number spoofing for decades. They make money on all of those telemarketers, you know.
