Are you poor? If you have a cell phone and credit to pay bills on your phone, then you're not poor. So, unfortunately, the fact that you pay your bills via your phone (super dumb, IMHO), is really irrelevant to this discussion.
My concern is that the USPS was designed to be a catch-all for ALL Americans, rich or poor. Anybody living anywhere in the US could have anything picked up or delivered for a reasonable price. By taking that away (even gradually), we're making the US a less democratic place.
Seems reasonable? Really? How do poor people get mail, then? In the US, poor people used to have guaranteed mail delivery 6 days a week. Now, if, they can afford to live in the right place, and can afford to get Internet service, and the Internet service happens to work correctly, and they can afford a working computer, THEN they can pay their bills? That doesn't seem reasonable to me at all.
I use a Windows Phone. It's got all kinds of shit built in. I actually don't have any "apps" installed, and I use my phone pretty much constantly. Having to cobble together everything my phone does with lots of unrelated, 3rd party apps would suck. I cringe every time I see an iOS or Android phone, and the main menu screen looks like my grandparent's Windows 95 desktop.
One doesn't have to be a politician or businessman to see that Trump is a demagogue who appeals to the lowest common denominator. An IQ above room temperature should do the trick.
It's about the money. Exxon does more than a quarter of a TRILLION dollars a year in sales. You think that maybe there'd be a reason they'd fund an organization that published "studies" about how great fossil fuel is? Are you really that thick?
Why are we giving anti-government red staters (what should be) public services with public money? Let them deal with the "free market". The FCC should spend that $$ on people who actually WANT government services.
That's only a valid answer if there is an alternative comparable device to use. Many many people no longer have a choice to avoid these devices altogether, whether it be for a work requirement, etc.
Huh? In what way is this device necessary for ANY function, whatsoever?
Why are you saying "Fuck you" to the FCC? Do you understand that they're trying to get the Cable Company to REMOVE the caps?
With the FCC preventing Charter from imposing caps for seven years as a merger condition, the agency has signaled that it may start getting more serious about cracking down on usage caps in the broadband market.
The problem is people doing everything on their stupid phones, which make it very difficult, if not impossible, to track what's going on. At least with a real browser on a real computer, you can control the data that's being shared.
It's another Betamax: The best product is lagging due to inertia, alone. I think that this is still happening because phones are still status symbols for so many people, and Windows Phone's "brand" isn't trendy right now.. Once people get used to having smartphones, my guess is that Windows Phone will become more popular. I certainly like mine, and when the Mrs needs a new phone, she's ditching her iPhone for a Windows Phone, too.
You're upset over a Windows Phone version that hasn't been released yet...? I'm confused. Windows Phone 10 hasn't been pushed out to any Windows Phones at all, from what I understand. It's just comes with one model of a new Nokia phone.
Apple's reputation of long-term support of its hardware was the only reason I felt comfortable paying full price.
Was that meant to be tongue-in-cheek?
Interesting. So, who's the current owner of LinkedIn, and what did they do with your info, that you so willingly gave up?
Dylann Roof?? Buddhist?
WHY does this little kid have access to so much money? WTF? Are his parents mentally challenged?
Why does the USPS have to be "self-supporting"? What sense does that make?

The "app" has full access to everything on your phone. The web page doesn't.

That's a right wing organization funded by the energy companies. Check your sources.
... before the Republicans gutted the University system and added some good ol' fashioned legalized discrimination. Yee haw!!
Trump. Facebook. Angry Birds the Movie.
Idiocracy is here.

The wealthy have access to all kinds of stuff, sure. But then you leave the poor with nothing, in terms of medical care. That's not acceptable.

You're right, dumb AC. Let Time Warner take care of all of your Internet needs. They're great!
Internet needs to be 100% regulated as a utility. "Competition" doesn't work in medicine, or utilities.
+1 Funny if I had the mode points.
Email still works just fine. And if you pay a dollar a month or so, it isn't data-mined!
