iTunes is truly awful. So much so that it's banned from all of our work computers (it installs all kinds of extra crap with it). Winamp, long after it's dead, is still the best music player there is.
It was reported in early March that Microsoft was going way overboard by automatically upgrading Windows 7 and Windows 8 computers to Windows 10 without permission from customers. Reports confirming the occurrences were widely reported on the internet, but Microsoft would later deny that anything nefarious was going on.
"the internet" cannot create reports to confirm anything, Brandon.
Your media business CAN be saved, if you revert to the previous business model: SELL YOUR OWN ADVERTISEMENTS. It's the (very wrong) idea that media companies can replace their entire sales staff with some drop in from an ad network that are causing these companies so many problems.
Maybe they should have a good look at OS-X, Mint and Ubuntu, get some good ideas on how to design a proper modern OS (ssh out of the box would be awesome, both command prompt and a way to easily connect to sftp servers which only Windows fails at nowadays), and make Windows desirable again.
Yeah, dude, that's what users want. Wow. You've really got your finger on the pulse of the people, huh?
The transitions have nothing to do with the customer. These transitions are a big expense and a big headache to merchants. We're still waiting until everything gets settled down before we even consider switching systems.
Now how about more of you merchants finally move forward with contactless payments?
Well:
- The hardware is expensive as fuck
- The hardware breaks frequently
- The standards are still in flux
- There's almost no benefit to the merchant unless the merchant takes a lot of fraudulent cards
- Contactless is going to cost more, if it doesn't already (Apple and Google aren't charities)
Thanks to Amazon and shit like this, soon there won't be any reason at all for fat asses to even leave their house! Yaay! What a wonderful world that'll be. A bunch of suicidal fat asses clicking and swiping in their individual houses/apartments their entire lives! No stores. No schools. It'll be a fat-ass utopia!
Jeez. An annoying road trip, compared with hundreds of thousands of people not dying every year due to pollution. What a small-minded, selfish little person you are.
Most people who get most of their information about the world from social media seem to think that Facebook could influence the election via controlling the content on their network ("Likes", smiley faces, etc). What those dumbasses don't understand is that because of Citizens United, Facebook or any other company can spend unlimited cash, anonymously, to buy any politicians they'd like. Smileys and "Likes" are nothing compared to cash bribes.

They're the only mobile device maker with good native functionality. iOS and Android are both a mess, when it comes to this stuff.
The problem you're describing is solved by the Windows Phone. That's why I use one.
I put my email address and username into Outlook.
Is it really that useful to merge these three types of data into a single program?
Yes, it really is that useful. For people with white collar jobs, it's incredibly useful, and there are no other products that are nearly as good.

And you think that out of the BILLIONS of users, that there's not a "fan base"? Really? That's statistically almost impossible.
at least Ubuntu has a stable fan base. Haven't seen anything like it for Windows in many many years.
You should get out of your basement more often. Windows runs 97% of the PC's on planet Earth.
I'm not a paid shill, but I love my Windows Phone. The better question is, who's paying you?
Oh really? How much do you pay for those card swipers, then?
You're talking about a problem specific to Apple. Microsoft, at least, supports their products for much, much longer.
That's my point. We're waiting to do anything until it's settled. Most merchants are still not doing chip & signature.
It saves time and money for retailers, making checkouts faster, the hardware is cheap and reliable.
I don't know where you get your information, but you're completely wrong on every single point in this statement.

Good argument! Thanks for that information. I really feel like you've added a lot to this conversation with your unique insight.

What is it with Republican's obsession with other people's genitals? Jesus, these people are twisted.
