E.g. 'restrictions of free speech' is not censorship.

  5. There are plenty of regions in Europe that sooner or later will separate from their current country and become independent, hopefully staying in the E.U.
Catalonia, Basque, probably Mallorca (under catalan reign, but they hate that even more than the catalonians hate the rest of spain, because Catalonia forbids teaching of the native language in Mallorca, but insists they can teach their own native language in Catalonia).
    Probably Bavaria, most likely Scottland.
Belgium might split into two, but a recent referendum voted for staying together.
Brittany might seperate from France, probably Alsace or Loraine, too. But that is much more unlikely like separations going on in Spain and Italy.

Keep in mind, the Spain, a typical foreigner sees, does not exist. Spain is a patchwork Kingdom with minimum 5 distinct languages and 5 dialects that are so far of from Castilian Spanish that they can be considerd their own languahe, too.

Over the course of the next 50 years I expect a shift in balance from countries power into two directions: more power to the EU, and more power to the regions, at cost of the countries power.

  14. "And it shows the EU is falling apart, as in freedom is failing "
We have those laws since the US imposed them on us. Which is about 70 years ago.
    I see no falling apart.

    Is that a crime?
Likely not, as it is not directed against minorities, religious, sexual, racial groups etc.

Also, is the message illegal to quote as an example?
No, quoting something is not illegal. How retarded are you?

How can we have a reasonable discussion about what is a crime and what is not
    By discussing it?
Hu? Again: how retarded are you?

You can discuss what ever you want, but you may not agitate for violence, deny the holocaust or war crimes etc. It is actually super simple, no idea why USAsians don't get the concept.

  15. Facebook is a private venue, so the website owners have a right to accept your message
Yes, they have the right to accept the message and the obligation, by law, to delete it.

No idea what is wrong with you.

Facebook is to be treated just like any newspaper or other publishing site. Perhaps you forgot that "the Washington post" or what ever other "web site" are also "private venues" ... nevertheless they are obliged to obey the laws.

Bottom line if you make a closed user group and try to sell drugs ... in the USA that would be a conspiracy.
A closed user group to promote Nazi ideology would be tolerated in EU. But a public one not. And that has nothing at all to do with free speech.

  16. Free speech is a contract between government and its citizens.
The citizens can freely discuss and object the government.

And we really have not much respect for people who believe otherwise.

You see? You think we are super stupid to have such laws and we think you are an immoral bastard for not having such laws and even more immoral for criticizing us (actually you have similar laws, you just are not aware about it).

The Kristallnacht happened in Germany, that is in Europe. Hence we Europeans find such laws morally superior to your laws.

Sure, heat waves caused deaths. However, not simply because of the heat but because of in appropriated behaviour or not taking proper action.
First of all the temperatures mentioned are not as unbearable as the authors claim. Plenty of people lived without problems through such temperatures, e.g. in Spain, north Africa or Israel.
You have to wear proper cloth, drink enough, shade your windows, e.g. by putting blankets in front of them, if you have no rolls. You can do simple things like putting your feet into cold water.
If it is to humid to properly sweat, a fan (and yes, in the original sense of the word, a piece of paper waved by the hand) will help. You can put a wet towel on your face, or into your neck etc. However we meanwhile have plenty of cheap solar powered small fans.
I guess most people don't know what to do, so there is an unnecessary death toll.
Plenty of things can be done with architecture. Classical arabic and persian (and indian) buildings made from clay, basically have air conditioning build in. It is pretty idiotic to copy western building styles with large window fronts when you can not afford AC.
