    Oh ... you mean a binary file which launches a kind of installer. Welcome to the world of Linux. Or at least the world of Linux which is provided by companies and generally non-free. You did find that already with products like Matlab etc..

    He will be judged according to German law, which also prohibits pedophilia. After e.g. Vietnamese authorities accusing the guy, the federal attorney is forced to try a case against him.

    No, as audioscrobbler/last.fm is not based on analysing the music itself, rather on tag-networks that get built up by the users and some rules e.g. like one song of an artist, play some more from him/her.

    DRM is one point. Please realize that they are not blaming BT as a protocol but as a provider which is a significant difference.

    There is already a model for this concerning other lines. The only problem is that DT is harshly overcharging their competitors for the use. Hence several lawsuits are running against them (for a really long time now, btw) and the goverment is finally forced to crack down on them. DTs situation is largely coming from them being a state owned company more than 10-15 years ago.

    Since when are sites like digg, del.icio.us and last.fm considered to be search engines?! Some of the other listed sites are also nowhere near what would spring to my mind when someone says 'search engine' - just see for yourself.

    ...you can easily copy a Virtual Machine from one computer to an other even if they have different hardware. With VMWare workstation, i had strange problems.


    Hm, must be a really obscure setup. Never encountered that one. So, to give the other view. There are people out there that use this idea successfully with VMWare workstation.

    To the extent of something you would be scared of if you where actually there, I'd point to Alien vs Predator 2.

    Playing as a marine is ... well, I'd call it fun - there are some moments in there that do really get on you. Pure paranoia.
