As for not putting secure data onto a computer thats connected to the internet, I don't belive they would do it, I know the US goverment puts it on a SIPRnet and as TSiprnet, The SIPRnet you need a Secret clearance, and the TSiprnet you need a Top Secret clearance, both unless your a born U.S. Citzen you can not obtain... and getting the T/S clearance requires a hefty investagation to get it I belive the cost is about $5,000 for it to be done, and this has to be done every 5 years or the clearance drops to a Secret Clearance that then degrades again to nothing after another 5 years. With that being said the computers are stored in Vaults and the lines are encrypted, along with them being in lockboxs where the lines are, now if where doing all of this you don't think the S. Koreans would atleast do some of it?
Couterfiting occurs because people are careless, yes the technology helps prevent it somewhat, but after working as a cashier in my midteens I was amased to how my fellow coworks would get fake bills and accept it... some of them looked so fake it was unbelivable.... also when i worked as a cahsier i noticed that these pens ( our only tool we where told to use to prevent counterfits) could easily able to give the wrong results on conterfits by just simply coating the paper with a fake plastic not enough to really feel it because of this it never alowed the ink to change color idefenying counterfit...
Maybee I'm reading it wrong but I never read anything about having to pay for this "service" when they say Premium... do they just mean people who buy alot more of M$'s programs? i.e. Large Corprations, and is this just a notice to them because in a Large Corparation its alot harder to update 1000s of machines vs lets say a office of 15? They just send a e-mail stating that there will be a update, its not like it actually contains the update.
too bad i was looking forward to the internet go down..... and seeing what would happen, everything relys on the net and e-mail now a days..... it would probally be declared a national emergency probally.... any thoughts what we would do?
might be a little off topic but the famous "I have a Dream" speach is copywrited and when ever someones plays the whole message (or if I recall coretcally more then 3 lines) the family demands money for use of it.... not to over critize but don't you think Dr. King would overturn in his grave if he knew this was happening... I just don't see how something as imporant as that can be considred a quick way to earn some $$$, which is why I also don't think anything patrioic should be abled to be copywrited
I doubt we'll ever spam decrease even if there was some international laws to regulate spawm, but do people honestally buy stuff from spam e-mail, I just don't see how it can be effective, and there is really no way to stop the spawm when it happens, I had a e-mail account and at one point i'm not sure but somehow they got my e-mail addresses and I was receving about 150 junk e-mails a day and was forced to adbandon that e-mail account, and I know for a fact that I never signed up for lists or gave my account to any untrustworthly source...... the worst part about this is most of these sites open and dissaper in less then 1-2 weeks making tracking them considreally hard which I'm not even sure they could even track them and punish them if laws where created internationally
I doubt it i tried installing linux on some of my friend's computer because all they do is surf the Internet and talk on IM clienets they still wanted there windows back because they didn't like the look of linux ( i have no idea what that means ) But once someone gets used to something regardless if its beter they'll throw a fit if you change it on them.......
i just don't see the purpose of this since all copy protection gets broken in about 1 month the lastest the second it comes out........ its just more of a hassle to people who try not to break the law because if someone is trying to burn a game it dosen't take long to find a way to get around it.
i actually hace a secret clearance and for the miltary which I'm curentally in you CAN NOT have a clearance if your not a natrual citizen
