agreed, people just know the ipod is cool and 90% of them think that the ipod is the only mp3 player available.. 99% of the population has no clue what DRM is.
At first this sounded absolutely retarded to me.. then after thinking about it I saw potential uses. If the iPod can be smart enough to see when you start to slow down, or where your "problem areas" are when jogging compared to previous runs (I don't jog, so who knows if these things exist) if it can modify your random selections to play something with faster tempo, it might be worthwhile.. likewise if it can slow things down on your cool down..
I wonder how many of these fossils the church has successfully had destroyed in the past.. do creationist types become archeologists? would seem like a waste of time, since the world is only 6000 years old and all..
Possibly you have system restore turned on? The previous poster is correct about the size of the hotfixes. Since Windows 2000 came out I have never seen a Windows hotfix break a piece of software. Yes I have heard of Service Packs breaking things if you're stupid enough to be an early adopter, but have never seen a hotfix break anything.
60GB? bah, then you're going about it all wrong. I'm on Rogers and have averaged 110GB of traffic per month for 6 straight months. I have successfully claimed that I only have a 500Mb hard drive (2 months), and when they stopped believing that I have since claimed that I have "some sort of wireless thingy" and "Is there any possible way that my neighbor could be stealing it?. I'll get a guy to look at it as soon as I can find a company that does that.. my cellular phone provider said they couldn't help me... they are wireless after all aren't they?"
Ticketmaster actually charges MORE for you to print your own tickets. How ridiculous is that? It's cheaper to go to their counter, use their clerk's time, and use their ink/paper.. I didn't realize that it cost so much to send PDFs out by email. They must be using Adobe Acrobat Professional or something..
There are easy ways around this.. such as make part of the setup say "do you want Apple to suggest songs you may like?" Even if the default is yes, it's at least a dialog box you have to press next on.
Isn't this where NT started going downhill? I vaguely remember that NT3.51 was the last OS that microsoft released without Kernel Level video.. and that's when things started going down hill..
I can't wait until people start complaining about their Cereal boxes have dead pixels, or bragging about how they hacked their PSP to play games on their Jumbo special K box...
I may be wrong but I believe this is covered for every bank in Canada is it not? I had my card double swiped and my bank account emptied (along with 50,000 other people in Vancouver I believe). I had the money back in my account within 2 weeks. All money in a bank is insured, just like your creditcard is insured. What's the difference between this and a robber stealing money from a bank?
That's actually dramatically safer than having a password like 'password'. You have to have at least physical access to the monitor in order to get the strong password, whereas if you have a weak password anyone in the world can crack it and have full access to the network remotely (depending on firewall rules, webmail, etc)
Every tech I've ever met that has moved to Vancouver from Ottawa has talked about how far behind in technology the average infrastructure in Ottawa is. They blame it on the fact that Ottawa has a lot of goverment jobs. Based on that (and only that, I've never worked or been to Ottawa) I'd guess that an RHCE wouldn't be as valuable as an MCSE, as the Canadian Gov't hasn't embraced linux yet.
don't forget olives..

RTFA, or even the 2 line summary...
A $30 antenna will connect an iPod nano with special shoes to provide pedometer functions."

The USA has a debt of 8.3 trillion dollars.. if they're the richest company I'd hate to think about how much money a poor country owes...

What's a gaming company going to do to make Google into a country? ;)

Yes, but theoretically at least one XBMC developer works for a company that has a DevKit
Would they have to wait for a modchip to port XBMC to the 360? Couldn't they just use a DevKit (yes I realize how expensive those things are)
How long before a ModChip comes out? Will they port XBMC, or is there a reason to? How good is the 360's media player interface?
Call me crazy, but I think by "low powered" they mean low powered, as in Watts, not MHz
