  1. Re:So what? on Poisoned Torrents Plague Mybittorrent · · Score: 1

Why the hell is this rated as flamebait? He is speaking the truth. Movies ain't that expensive. Besides, read some reviews and rent only the movies that are actually worth watching.

  2. Well... on Poisoned Torrents Plague Mybittorrent · · Score: 1, Funny

If you feel that someone has caused you enough grief with bogus torrents in your seek for copyrighted movies and music, why don't you go and sue someone about it?

  3. Rights? on LimeWire to Block Copyrighted Work · · Score: 1

No, I do not have a right to distribute or download copyrighted material, and neither does anyone else. So your rights are not violated. What the hell is wrong with you people?

  4. Re:Market decide.. don't make me laugh on Music Exec Fires Back At Apple CEO · · Score: 1

Uhhh... can you also buy a Ford from some other car manufacturer than Ford? You can buy the White Stripes album from a great number of shops, who gives a rat's ass about the record company? Except you shouldn't, because it's not really good when compared to their earlier record.

  5. One wonders... on Why Vista Had To Be Rebuilt From Scratch · · Score: 1

...how Windows kernel developemnt really differs from Linux kernel development. Most of Open Source projects work in a way that people send patches. Maybe at some point Linus decides to call it quits and start over, maybe Linux kernel 3 will be written from scratch.

  6. Re:hashtrust on Practical Exploits of Broken MD5 Algorithm · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Well, if you download illegal ISOs from the net and get a virus from it: SUITS YOU, SIR!!!

  7. Amazing! on KDE Running on Mac OS X · · Score: 5, Funny

Now you have a possibility to change your already unified and quite well designed Mac user interface with KDE! Now you have the freedom to make a really bad choice!

  8. Artificial? on Creating Artificial Proteins · · Score: 2, Interesting

I do not pretend to be an expert, or actually know anything about the subject and to promote Slashdot standards on information digesting, didn't actually read the article. But if one creates proteins that are exactly as nature would manufacture the real thing, why are they called artificial? They are the real thing!

  9. Re:I have a bad feeling about this... on MasterCard To Distribute RFID Credit Cards · · Score: 1

A post on Slashdot about something that the writer has just a vague idea but just wants to bitch and moan about his views anyway: Pretty common.

  10. Damn! on Computer Security Still Totally Inadequate · · Score: 1

I just crapped my pants for reading this article. Oh wait, no I didn't. Going to play Darwinia now.

  11. Re:Am I the only one... on Millions of Games · · Score: 1

No, I guess you don't need it then... so why do you bother posting about it here? If it is the last thing you need, I guess you are set then?

  12. Re:Awesome on MMO-Like Quake Is Possible · · Score: 1

Yes and hardly anyone EVER plays Counter Strike?

  13. You fools! on The Chumbawamba Factor · · Score: 2, Funny

P2P software are clearly a clever way for RIAA to get people to listen more music, because it's "cool" to stick it to them! In the meantime the RIAA has a perfect tool to spy on people's musical tastes! In order to really hit them where it hurts, you MUST immediately stop all P2P activity and continue to purchase your music legally, thus ending this mind probing!

  14. Re:Mono is better in many ways on Mono Blocked from MS Conference · · Score: 3, Insightful

What the hell are you talking about? If your applications really need that strict version numbering, you must be doing something really wrong. I have been a Java developer for 8 years and I know this for a fact.

  15. Re:Yes, and guns are responsible for wars... on RIAA Says P2P Encourages Illegal Downloads · · Score: 1

Well, some argue the weapon industry really is the cause of wars today. They are really just very expensive sales promotions of the latest in weapon technology.

  16. Re:Is it just music players? on Is the iPod Generation Going Deaf? · · Score: 1

I play rock and metal. What I love about electric guitars, is that when practising without an amp, they are VERY VERY VERY quiet, because there is no acoustic amplification of any kind. Also, modern equipment such as amp emulators allows to get pretty good distorted rock and metal guitar sounds WITHOUT driving 50lbs tube amplifiers over the top. Which is to say, a lot more quietly.

  17. Not much compared to GNU/Linux... on Windows Vista To Come In 7 Flavors · · Score: 1

In comparison we have about 9999 GNU/Linux distributions all offering just about the same packages, with the same Xorg version, with almost the same init scripts, with the same kernel. The only difference seems to be in installing the system. Oh yeah, please some one cry out about the ability to choose your distribution because they are all free. But really, what's the real difference between them?
GNU/Linux is not about choice, it's about making the obvious choices and those choices are about the same with every installed GNU/Linux.

  18. YRO on Secretaries Sacked After Flamewar at Work · · Score: 1

How about changing the YRO category to something more describing it's actual contents? Like Your Brain Matter Leaking Online? Is the editor saying the two women got fired and it violated their rights? How? Or my rights? How? I am confused here. How about thet Big Brother thing. Now there's a violation of people's rights... Oh yeah and that Ipod Nano totally violates my rights as I don't yet have one.

  19. Huh? on Yahoo Helps Jail Chinese Writer · · Score: 4, Insightful

Well, of course they must follow always local laws. They can't choose which laws, if they're not up to USA standards. Oh yeah, and if you think China is a bad place for putting people in prison, you might wanna check the percentage of people in prison in USA first. To put it short, China prisons people for "being wrong", and USA prisons people for "being too poor". But of course it is always easy to play jesus about it on Slashdot. It's also perfectly legal to sell booze to people of age 18 here in Finland. Now can I also come to sell it in USA to people of that age? Now where's my troll status?

  21. More news on Blu Ray Drive Will Cost $100 Per PlayStation 3 · · Score: 1

I heard from a reliable source PS3 will include a satellite chip that allows DRM to be applied even if there is no connection to Internet. But this can be easily avoided with some tin foil wrapped around the console.
