This is probably the first step to what Mark Cuban Predicted a year ago. It is just a matter of time for demand to make the price of these drives go down enough to replace "Prehistoric" media formats such as CD, DVD, BlueRay, etc.
It would be a good idea to have government standardize power bricks, make them all provide same voltage and use same plug. This way we can easily replace them or buy a big brick to power all the little gadgets. It would be nice to have your house and office wired with "gadget plugs" so you don't have to carry all these damn bricks everywhere.
This may be evidence of the so called Universal Law of Attraction. People that believes in that stuff claims that If you think about negative stuff such as getting a cold or say "this job makes me sick", guess what, you will get sick. On the other hand, positive thoughts seem to attract positive stuff towards you. They even made a documentary about it.
They claim this law can be explained with Quantum Mechanics (sic). I personally don't know much about it but so far it seems to be working for me.
Just what I thought, something light and solid like Xubuntu. Anybody doing it already?
I've been using Knoppmyth for about two years and I've been putting off upgrading until they come out with 0.20 distro (with 2.6.18 kernel and ivtv 0.8.x). I downloaded mythdora and I was about to set it up this weekend, I am glad I procrastinated on it since it seems you need to go through way more startup config steps than with KnoppMyth. Capture cards were autodetected by knoppmyth when I installed it two years ago and it seems the whole process is even simpler now.
The Law of Attraction says "Like attracts Like", if you are wealthy, you will attract more wealth; if you are poor...
Now, the cool thing about these so called "Universal laws" is that you can change your mind set to attract wealth and abundance by just thinking about it, these guys claim there is some science to it (Quantum Physics?). <Plug>There is a movie about this if you want to know more</Plug>
So how difficult is to analyze these botnets to find out where are they calling to get their commands and block it? If they are using "public" IRC servers, just block them until they get rid of these channels.
A lawyer told me to never comply to any DWI test, just say "I will be happy to comply under the supervision of my doctor", this includes walking on a line and stuff. They cannot revoke your license this way.
sleeping pills don't work, they put you in delta and your brain needs to cycle through alpha, theta and delta during your sleep. Neither you need pills to stay awake. You can take a mind training course where they will teach you how to go sleep or stay awake.
<slashvertisement type="warning"> Since I took the Silva Method course (http://www.silvamethod.com) I can go sleep anywhere anytime, I have even experimented taking an espresso right before going to sleep. There is a technique to program your mind to wake you up at a specific time fully refreshed, even if you sleep only 3-4 hours and another to keep you awake if you feel sleepy. I don't drink coffee to stay awake anymore, I drink it because I like the taste. </slashvertisement>
There is a study where they isolated a group of people for several days with no way of knowing the time. They ended up sleeping 4.5 hours. I cannot find any references on the web so I can't confirm it.
If I don't like an online store's website (where the ones that force you to create an account to buy) I don't sue them to change it, I just go buy my shit elsewhere...
I'm losing my mod status for replying to this. The title of this article is misleading to the point it is almost a troll. From TFL:
Based on the likelihood of confusion and dilution, therefore, we must insist that your clients withdraw both Int. Cl. 9 applications for PODCAST READY and limit all future use of the mark to goods and services related to podcasting.(my emphasis)
Apple's Lawyers are concerned about MYPODDER because it fonetically sounds very close to iPOD and that makes sense too. About "Podcast Ready", they are ok as long as they don't use it for "Portable listening devices".
Xen requires modifications that (apparently) they can't legally use with a Windows client
I understand Xen 3.0.2 can run unmodified windows guests if you have a processor with virtualization extensions (Intel Pentium D 9xx series, or AMD Athlon 64 X2 Windsor series). I am planning to try this out but I need a few months to shell out the $400+ to buy new cpu, mobo, video and DDR2 memory.
Strange I've never heard any muslim claim this. And I did google 'islam koran unbelievers' the first page a selection of christian 'dialog' sites, which make the same claims as you.
Remember that "A lie told often enough becomes truth"... in Islam you have to pray 6 times a day. All you have to do is change the prayers to whatever you like and then you can convince anybody to kill themselves in the name of the Tooth Fairy
What are you smoking? The biz processes should be separate from code as a matter of course, while technology doesn't go obsolete in two years, or even four.
If biz processes are not changing then that company is losing biz to its competition, we live in a fast-paced world where the only constant is change.
As for technologies being "obsolete" - your last energy bill was most likely generated from an application written in COBOL 20 years ago. Just something to think about.
...and half the people in accounting is handling excel sheets to get the job done.
So you take 2 years writing specs, another two years developing and guess what, when the project is out it is based on obsolete technology and business rules.
The biggest mistake management make is to use the building-a-bridge analogy to software project management, that is what they have been trying (and failing) to do in the last 30 years. It is proven to be a bad way to develop software. Agile Development was born from fustrated Project Managers looking for a better way to do this. Agile Processes have more than 10 years delivering better quality much faster.
So nice recipe, looks good, has somebody put it in practice already?, where are the case studies?
If you are in a bind like this one, better take a look at SCRUM or any other of the Agile Processes that are PROVEN to work.
Have you all noticed every time there is an article about Net Neutrality around here the first post is always an opposing view very well written and moderated +5?
DSLReports reported that paid cable & telco PR reps are posing as consumers and spamming forums about Net Neutrality with their opposing views. I wonder if the telcos got to./ admins

That way any potential customer knows beforehand these words are not available for a first place ad, otherwise the word fraud comes to mind.

SCO is in the ropes in their case against Novell, if that case goes down, IBM wins its own case... hmmm ...</tinfoilhat>
What if a spammer hacks into a network close captioning?
Seriously... somebody needs to come up with a shield generator. X-prize anyone?

Winsor's series Athlons come with AMD Virtualization, here is a newegg link to one: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82 E16819103735
My point is that repeating something 6 times a day is a very powerful tool to control people, just change the prayers around a bit and there you go.

Can I run windows as guest in this thing?, can't find any info in vmware's site but I understand you need Workstation to host Windows' VMs
