How many good and popular games, besides Craplo which is really only liked for the multiplayer component when all is said and done, are there for the 360 that can't be found on another console OR the PC? And of those games, how many have/will have analogues on different systems?
Possibly, possibly not as I suspect that Sony expects this console to last a long time. They would have to be insane to expect short term gain from this thing. OTOH, as time goes by and the console gets progressively cheaper, more and more people will buy one. Sony will survive, and barring a third non-drm'd up the wazoo media of comparable capability coming out, Blu-Ray will probably be the next media type. Of course no one will buy stuff for it for several years, probably close to 5-7. That being said, Wii will outstrip both of them in terms of sales. But PS3 will probably be successful long term.
Of course, you assume that anyone who buys AMD CPU's will continue to do so. They won't. That means market share will drop but they will still have enough cashflow from people like him to make the better product.
Which means absolutely nothing in the long run. Nada zip zilch. Most surveys are unreliable in the extreme. Especially coming out of todays institutions. Until I see the polling data itself as well as the methedology, I never quote a survey because until those things are made public one cannot treat the survey/experiment as reliable. At all, not if one is being honest.
What complicated small cutting edge electronic gadget has ever been particularly rugged? Seriously, I want to know. They instituted a batt. replacement program and the firmware/software is continually updated. As for the jack, that's a problem in anything over time where the jack isn't overengineered.
The four rules:
1. All fucking guns are always fucking loaded
2. Never point the fucking gun at anything you're not prepared to destroy
3. Get your God damned finger off the sonofabitchin' trigger.
4. Know what you're fucking shooting at DUMBASS.
Follow these rules and you will never have a ND(negligent discharge). There is no such thing as an accidental discharge.
Ah, but the original statistic was not accidentally shot now was it? There are many less accidental shootings each year than there are intentional shootings or self-defense uses(which generally don't require a discharge). The amount of people that die each year or are permanently impaired by accidental shootings is negligible at best. Cars are a much much more likely source of death as is alcohol, but you don't get a large amount of people trying to ban cars or alcohol now do you?
Bah, 9/11 changed NOTHING except for the fact that it is now a historical date. The world was just as much of an uncaring dog eats dog place as it was after, the only difference is that your comfortable little bubble was popped. Then of course, instead of doing anything constructive like sayyy, going out and supporting small government politicians, first on the local level and then on up over time, you sit and whine on/. about it.
Say a copter goes for 400k. That means sayy, 13 or so per helicopter they could get. Say that los angeles has 20 helicopters, although it's probably less. that means 260-270 drones if the helis are replaced completely. Do you really think they're going to concentrate on petty issues in a city the size of LA with only 260 of these?
MMMMMMmmmmm, good old shoddy Lancet numbers rise again. Actually, the number of civilians that have been killed in Iraq is ohhh, 8-192,000(CI.95) plus sayy, 20,000 for good measure. Of course, the amount of those killed by the US is rather indeterminable, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was less than half of the number of civilians the so-called freedom fighters have kiled.
True, but it's not there to keep you from being prosecuted. It's there to keep the government from getting to big for it's britches. Unfortunately that happened sometime in the 60's and is currently on a seemingly irreversible course. Although since the current government will collapse from debt accrued primarily by programs like socsec and medicare by 2050-2070 or so, assuming it lasts that long, that really isn't a problem.
Except the spiked chain is a real weapon. Better known as the Manrikigusari. Mind you, it looks nothing like the illustation in the book, and should probably be brought down to 1d6 damage. But otherwise it's as 'realistic' as anything gets in D&D
Which is a much different thing than saying that the ps3 will replace the PC entirely. But moderation and accurate summaries have never been a slashdot pastime.

Except other than gaming, what would you need a CPU like that for that can't be done better on a mac?
Duh, this idea has been around and pretty much proven for a couple of years now. Sometime in the 90's I think. There's even a sci-fi book written that utilizes the phenomena. http://www.webscription.net/chapters/0743488628/07 43488628.htm?blurb
Now you're just frenching the issue to absurdity.
That's also in cm^3 and with the PS3s ovoid design in the mind of the consumers won't seem as big.

Except they could set it up so the bottlenecks were all physically on private land, so no.

When did anyone deny they were capable. There have been quite a few over in israel. But statistically speaking they are a pretty small blip.

I've never actually met one of those, do they exist outside of an individual's moral code who happens to be a police officer?

practicing your mozambique drills?

The only reason that game wasn't that good was because it was an extremely rushed job. The Dev time for NWN2 has been at least 4 times as long.
He should have said 'M$ is attempting to buy the market'. As they won't get anywhere near success, the relevant laws don't come into effect.
Suddenly I have a great marketing idea for Apple's controller if they want to make a game in which you fight the evil forces of microsoft. The iWii.
