Is there a group somewhere consisting of people who know computers using their skills to attack computer systems run by oppressive regimes and shut down their ability to do this sort of thing?
China has a group of hackers that do nothing but make viruses, spyware, to try and infiltrate and sabotauge foreign computers.
If I had a question, I would say,"Why does armor do nothing until you're at least level 30?" and "I know you're adding better equipment down the line, but why does the best equipment in the game only differentiate you 5-10% from someone with store bought". Oh and,"Why are all the races fundamentally the same when it comes to their racial statistics?"
I like Tolkien, and I love Turbine... But could I see myself playing a game where the only thing that matters is your level number and class? Sorry, but no.
Even though I know God exists, I don't try and fill in history that the Bible doesn't explain. I'm not sure why other people have this desire to do so.
In Soviet Russia, you eat ghosts.
Unless you have the power pill, then ghosts eat you.
Actually that sounds like something vindictively fun. DIE GHOSTS! Your only hope is if I make a mistake and eat the power pill. Nah, I'd just be chilling outside the ghost house the whole time just like I camp spawns in quake.
This is all stuff I figured out. Despite the fact I thought it up, it could still be wrong.
If you spend processes on thinking, you can lose your process of memory. Ie: You can get distracted if something comes up and you forget what you were doing. Or you walk into a room thinking about the football game, and forget why you came into the room to begin with. I think smart people who are in a constant line of thought as such they sacrifice less important parts of their memory and only remember big things. Now this article makes me even happier because I always think and hardly take time to remember.
Want to hear the funny part? I don't remember what the article actually says. I think it said that if you forget trivial stuff that the more important stuff will be easier to remember. I'll go re-read it now.
A8696 seeks to apply real-world standards of violence to the fictional and fanciful world of video games
And you Jim, what have you to say for your 12 counts of GTA, 3514 counts of assault, 151 murders of police officers, and 312 FBI agents dead?
"They had what was coming to them. Charlie was stepping on my turf, and they shouldn't have got between us."
We have all heard your testimony of your video game rampage, and have no other recourse but to sentence you to 29 deaths by lethal injections. After which we will release you back onto the street in front of the hospital with 100% health.
I like the documentation on CS because it is an API that's easy to understand. But what really shines in CrystalSpace's favor is it's community. I wouldn't be able to code in 3d if it wasn't for handholding by the developers. They walked me through compiling and building, and then they answered my questions when I got stuck. I think they're so friendly, that I casually talk about my game I'm making in help questions that I post to the mailing list. CS is the 3d engine that I am writing: www.roamingdragon.com
I'm not saying the other engines could be bad, but I know that CS is awesome.
The Bible tells a rich history of God with man. Why does man have to make up stories because there were certain details left out? I don't take sides with the young earth or ye old universe theory, but it bothers me when someone thinks they're so right they have to do something like this. It's almost as bad as bickering between denominations. Anyway, I know God is real, but that doesn't mean I know everything, and odds are neither does this guy.
The key is that it isn't a forced change, its a gradual one. The people with IP4 addresses and software can keep what they're doing and not slow down... Only when the final IP4v2 addresses are implemented will people have to rewrite software. Lets say they only fix the software for webbrowsing at first. Then people who do nothing but webbrowse can be offered cheaper connections and get the upper digits. Then later as people develop new software, they'll take into account that there are IP4v2 people out there and write their software to work with everyone... Eventually old software is phased out, and new software comes into being... Its a gradual changed instead of all at once. That is why I suggested it.
Reserve 256 IP addresses that will never be used by IP4
Then with these 100 addresses, add on another IP4 to it:)
Lets say 000.000.000.001 through 256.256.255.256 were plain IP4. Then everything is working as planned.
Then we run out of internet addresses! OH NO
Next dude's internet address is: 256.256.256.0 + 000.000.000.001
Next dude's internet address is: 256.256.256.0 + 000.000.000.002
It would ease adoption I think
I agree that the SNES controler was great, but I look at it from an oldschool gamer's prospective. It had no analog stick so it forced programmers to stay in the 8 directions. I don't like analog sticks, they don't feel right for the games I most like to play. The Ps2 controller gets my vote for the controller I'd most like to develop on, but I wouldn't use the analog stick. There is a little known contoller called the GamePad Pro, it has 4 buttons like SNES, and 4 buttons on the top like PS2. It's the controller I'm modeling my game around: www.roamingdragon.com
Lets make our drivers licences Debit Cards
Hey lets make our drivers licences national ID Cards
Hey lets make everyone in the World have ID cards that can be used as money which makes a world currency
Hey we're too lazy to carry cards anymore, lets have a microchip imbedded in everyone.
And here I was hoping the comments would be exciting to make up for my boredom reading that article.

Congress must be pissed off at every gamer that plays an RTS or something?
Oh that explains it. I was wondering why I watched 10 seconds of a person looking at a large amount of pictures, like it solved something important.
You know the one where we both have missles so no one shoots?
What is this third pipe? What are the other two?
Well one's normally referred as a tube.

255.255.255.0 not 256.256.256.0 And other places where I messed up.
Why not IP4 2.0?

I thought he was just being sarcastic.
I'm glad we live in a world with zinc.

We're embarassed. All we have is our youth, billions of dollars and our good looks. Whoo hoo, I'm buying a walk in humidor.
