    Yes, I agree. It would be nice to have new technologies, like - matter transmitter, teleportation, or at least a wormhole. But these are hard scientific and technological problems. It will take some more years.

    Closing cities to all automobile traffic. This is it.

    Commuting becomes very fast as bicycles do not need traffic lights.

    There are cargo bicycles too for supplying shops. Strangely people will eat less as they move more. Anyone who was on a long distance cycling tour could not to fail to notice it. People overeat due to to an anxiety. And regular physical activity reduces anxiety dramatically.

    As a by-product we get that there will be no bad areas in a city due to traffic noise and pollution.

    I saw a documentary, there are deers, birds, a lot of large fish in the station's artificial lake, foxes, etc. And also a lot of trees in the Chernobyl area.

    What is wrong with using Dutch technology? The Dutch technology is based on the periodic table discovered by Dmitri Mendeleev, as any other technology. It is very difficult to say if a technology is Dutch, German or Russian. The main point is that it works on the real market.

    For example, senator McCain has got fourteen luxury houses, but nobody calls him an oligarch. Calling any Russian businessman an oligarch is an obvious smear tactic.

    Speaking of butches, - have you ever seen sex tourists from the first world visiting developing countries? They are no better and no worse than any oligarchs.

    Natural Gas producers are telling themselves, - use it carefully, do not burn it just because you can. It is a valuable limited resource.

    It could be used instead in pharmacology, in plastics production, etc.

    What I mean is that geology, natural resources extraction, especially in Siberia, are hi-tech industries in itself. There are a lot of useful minerals there. And there is a large field for innovation in it. Especially as new minerals are needed for production of new generations of computing devices, cars, etc.

    Actually, the modern natural gas transporting system, or gold producing hi-tech mine-factory are very far from robbing South America civilizations' gold by Spain.

    Sometimes it is hundred times easier to solve a problem by communicating urgently, even after work, than in the morning.

    For example, a colleague from another city arrived at the airport and for some reason does not know the name of a hotel. She needs just one word from me.

    Since we cannot detect signals from other civilizations, it means that this period does not last long. Perhaps, we are also close to the bottleneck.

    Just devastation of planet's surface does not stop radio transmissions. Radio is simple and robust technology. It should be something else.

    Certainly, it could be that humanity is unique in the Universe, and the Civilizations' Bottleneck theory is not valid.

    Still the Universe's Great Silence is disturbing, seeing how many worlds are out there.

    Talk while walking via woods or a park, among trees.

    Not phone, no watch, no camera, no heavy clothing.

    And speak quietly anyway. Still it does not guarantee privacy.

    All other talk or messaging are public. It is a new brave world where there are no secrets.

    Why about 100 foam plastic balls of orange color with a plastic orange flag and LED light (blinking for 3-4 months after contact with water) cannot be placed inside the fuselage on an aircraft which costs hundreds of millions?

    The size could be of a tennis ball, an additional weight and cost almost zero.

    Seriously? The US does not even control its inner cities. Have you been in Detroit, in Trenton, etc. lately?

    Instead of such "Star Wars" the money could be better spent to tackle the severe social problems at home.
