    And it's absolutely beyond fucked up that Men go to jail for a young woman lying about her age. There's tons of 16 Yr olds that look much older than they are. Who would expect a 16 yr old would resort to creating an adult online profile? Why aren't we looking at this?

    If it's proven he had every intention of a young adult interaction that's one thing. You still shouldn't pay for it. But As far as the law is concerned her actions should have her treated as an adult in this case unless she's being trafficked. This is the more likely scenario and it should still exclude him from prosecution for the underage portion. He should still answer for the paying for sex part though.

    Any extra-terrestrial intelligence worth it's salt would undoubtedly have a 'prime directive' that prohibits contact with less advanced races.

    There's this and the rampant slavery currently ongoing in middle east countries to say nothing of the sex slavery trade.

    Changing the terms used in a programming language isn't going to stop slavery anywhere. It's just more useless virtue signaling where going out and DOING something to stop slavery. Join the Polaris Project if you want to make a difference, but don't require us to refactor miles of code just to make you feel good.

    You certainly aren't alone. The order of preference I execute when examining resumes is:

    1. Degree in the field.
    2. No Degree.
    3. Some other degree.

    The reasons are:

    1. You're desperate and haven't found employment that utilizes skills found in your degree.
    2. You're lazy and chose an easy degree with no thought to the future.
    3. "No fucking way I want some victim-mongering snowflake anywhere near a real workplace."

    Both Item #3's

    gets shitcanned immediately.
