    In which case the lag causes the car to plow through the kids, then evaluates another 50,000 lines of code and determines that it must kill the passenger as punishment and blows him / her up again.

    In the meantime insurance settlements are distributed to the parents who then spend the money thereby improving the economy for which the U.S. president at the time will take credit for.

    You're either being deliberately obtuse or you really don't have a clue.

    I am not going to go into too great of detail on how social media works with you. In this day and age you are expected to be aware or you have no business on it.

    That said, if someone I know has a relative that's a little whacked I could be said to associate with this person. There are plenty of documented cases where people have gone to jail or been thoroughly investigated for the sake of one or two random comments posted in the heat of the moment.

    I don't want my freedom or quiet life impacted by decisions made about my life or quality of character based on posts by someone I may barely know.

    Google 'mccarthyism' some time and you will see the truth in what I am saying,.

    I don't see this flying very far, as it has privacy implications for those that have no intention of international travel and cannot be offered the opportunity to opt out. I see this as a governmental power play to connect real people to public dissensions on facebook whether the intent is for good or ill.

    This will more than likely be used by political parties to place opposing factions under duress like the people attacking trump supporters.

    The Govt spec only said 'kill the driver'. The details of the result will require a review by committee to produce a spec to handle the flaming wreckage.

    The real elephant in the room is the suggestion that the government get involved in the regulation on how the decision will actually be carried out.

    The government will put out a spec to kill the sole occupant if the car plows toward a group of people by detonating explosives planted in front of the passengers face.

    It's a sickening sign that liberalism is entrenching itself in Austin.

    First came the requirement of obtaining permits and taxation of musicians playing in public places even if for free, then comes the destruction of ride-sharing either for commuting or being responsible and not driving drunk.

    More regulations, more fines, taxes, restrictions of basic rights because someone's making money and another someone wants to stop it.
