However, Windows update costs Microsoft money. WINE customers do not pay them any money. (WINE source is free and open after all, which is a good thing.) Although the usual argument that Windows shouldn't be broken in the first place might come up, some thing's really aren't known at the time a product releases. I think it's fair that they spend their resources (however infinite) only on teir own customers. Plus, I think most WINE users won't have much trouble patching thier WINE without windows update, there not typically the kind of person who isn't tech savvy, plus, vulnerabilities are less severe in WINE, since they (usually) can't compromise the rest of Linux/BSD etc...
Unfortunately the only program I have been able to get to do TV out is BSPlayer. I've tried with VLC, MediaPlayerClassic and Cyberlink Power DVD. No luck...
Editing the menus like directories is what I meant. I was asking if there was a way to do it without having to edit a config file. Considering that those Gnome menu config files are more complex than manually partitioning with fdisk and messing with/etc/fstab to get everything mounted right, it's something they needed.
As a real question (not trolling), does Gnome have a graphical way to edit the menus yet? My primary reason for staying with KDE is I don't want to have to edit them manually.
Most frivolous lawsuits never reach court, they come to a settlement. (A good civil lawyer will never go to court if they can avoid it.) With that system, no one officially wins, and dropping it would end up wasteing even more of the courts time than is saved.
Tesla (who worked with Edison on early electric devices) wanted to transmit electricity wirelessly. Edison ruled it out because you couldn't charge for it that way.
It's a good thing Edison won out, as to get enough electricity to power anything useful into the air over any real distance would be a huge cancer risk.
All the wireless mice I have seen need corded recievers. I have had several Logitech mice, and all of them had external radio recievers for the wireless. Internal bluetooth just isn't common enough.
I'd really go for something like this, as battery problems are more annoying than the slight annoyingness of a cord. I have abandoned wireless mice completely for wired again because of that, and signal interference would make my pointer do funny things from time to time.
With this, not only are battery problems gone, but we also have the reciever very close to the mouse (touching) so interference will probably be lessened (though not eliminated). Would be really cool if they were able to send the data back to the computer through the same induction.
Just because most things M$ does are unethical doesn't mean all things they do are.

Retinas also change naturally over time. Like most parts of the human body, they are subject to wear and tear.
I think he was joking.... not doing a very good job of it, but joking. It seems to almost be a parody of trolls rather than actually trolling.

So just like the internet, but without immature comments on news sites? And shameless hypocrisy and bad spellang when mocking said comments?

Canuck is not an offensive word. Would a CANADIAN hockey team be called the Canucks if it was a way of insulting us?
Both parties can come up with better, they just didn't. (John McCain and Wesley Clark come to mind.)
