Theres a commandment against adultery but it's condoned and even advocated in more than one spot in the bible (polygamy, rape, and the use of prostitutes is endemic in the bible)

It's important to follow who is condoning what and when in the bible.

You think it's easy to do music full time while keeping a day job? There IS a life outside Slashbot-land. I think you need a change of perspective.

My ultimate plan is to fill a few rather large external hard drives with all my decompressed digital audio for DJing purposes. At that point, I will probably require jHymn for the few things I have purchased that would work well in such an environment.

Just like the tale of the boiling frog, once we become use to mild DRM, the strict stuff will be right around the corner, of course, when we all forget about the no-DRM days.

I think you should continue to repeat buzzwords and slogans. If you say them enough, they become true, just like a wish.

May? MAY? I'd say that's about a 100% certainty. That's like saying your computer may work differently without a mouse.

Jesus, Slashdot needs defnses against people like you. You can't just put two ideas next to each other and draw lines to connect the buzzwords. It might have worked on your vocab tests in 3rd grade but we're a little more advanced now that you've grown up.

Gigging full-time is expected of major label artists as well, no?

There are independent distributors who are capable of doing well so that it's not just you selling your burned CD's.

  13. Re:No surprise on iTunes DRM Hole Closed · · Score: 1

Seriously, if you want to release your music, you stand no chance whatsoever, unless you sign up with the cartel. So you have no choice at all.

Not really. There are plenty of independent distributors and record labels that will have a decent audience. They don't have as much money to spend on promotion so you will never be rich and/or famous.

It's not quite what they did with Real. This update was already out there, but iTMS did not require it. The only change appears to be server-side.
