Get ready to downgrade when you get to college. A large TV and surround sound don't fit well in a dorm.

You don't pay any extra that you can see. It is most likely a charge within your dorm fee. It's not so much that you don't pay extra for using them, it's more that you don't pay any less for not using them.

I've heard about this more and more lately, people are using camera phones to steal credit information. Think about it, if someone behind you were using a phone you wouldn't think twice about it, its just another person on a phone. They could secretly be taking a picture of your card.

I learned a trick for myself. I write "ASK FOR ID" on the back of all my credit/debit cards

Another thing that is important to mention is that you should never leave your cards unsigned. I work retail and there are a good percentage of people who leave thier cards insigned so that way people will check thier ID. The bad thing about this is that someone could easily pick the card up and sign the cardholders name on the back. This dosn't even occur to those who refuse to sign.

It is amazing whay you can get away with before someone will check your card.

I rember hearing a story in Sunday school once that is quite simular to this. There were all these noblemen donating tons of money to the church. A poor woman walks by and gives about two cents. While the noblemen scoff at her because of her "megar" donation. The priest then points out that it was thier donation that was "megar" because they only gave a little of what they have, while she gave all of what they have. My point is, yes Bill Gates gave a great donation. However, it is still only a small part of his money.

My little brother's high school had an article in the school paper on blogging. If you read some, it says "I did this because it is kewl." When I first read the title "Girls Gone Wired" I was excited because I thought it would be something for girl's like me. Then again, if they had a show specificly for girls like that, it could easily bring about more stereotypes. I could just see it now "My iPod mini is pink, isn't it so cute?"
