Maybe by examining the facts? Sensible people don't rely on advertisements. Check out WinFS yourself and come back to us when you think you see the DRM.
WinFS is an innovative step forward in filesystem design.
You are (deliberately?) misunderstanding what WinFS is designed to accomplish. But like everyone else you seem to have made up your mind. Whereas you avoid mention of the numerous limitations that traditional filesystems like ext2 and even journalled filesystems have.
In terms of multi Opteron processor support, FreeBSD would have been a more sensible choice. Its a shame that Sun didnt consider that option, simply because Linux has better value as a sales pitch.
linux has loadable kernel modules, which makes the currently-discussed exploit type much easier to implement for an attacker.
The first exploit in-the-wild that i remember was about 10 years back, called heroin.c. it did pretty simple things like modifying lsmod, rmmod, process tables etc. these days they are a lot more sophisiticated.
if you think that changing to linux will save you from unrecoverable attacks, keep in mind that the new attacks you will have have been developed over decades.
expectations which you have failed to meet, since you have installed software which doesn't meet the users requirements.
I know you think you are a k3wl H/\k/\r d00d because you can install linux on your sisters pc even though she wanted something better, but the rest of us know you are a dick.
For example if you pay with a credit card, exactly the same information is stored and can be retrieved, with a warrant. Nothing to do with safeways cards.
FYI Crays come (came) with huge quantities of libraries, preprocessors, compilers, schedulers, profilers, all designed to help efficiently use the hardware.
Don't post comments they say nothing else than "I dont understand."

In otherwords, 99% of network usage is illegal.
Bandwidth is usage.

You basically just said: excluding what is likely to be illegal, what remains is 99% legal.
It is a HUGE misconception that the cat is equally alive or dead, being as those are two fundamentally mutually exclusive properties. At any given point in time, there is a probability that the cat is either alive or dead.
You have misconceptions of your own. I dont know your background but you haven't grasped why Schrodingers cat says something very different about the quantum world. You are trying to fit it into a classical viewpoint. (or trolling).
Wikipedia is well off there.. for example the chinese government satellite organization has been bigger for some time, and Intelsat peaked around the early 1990's in terms of satellite numbers.
Why did they feel the need to do this? I just shake my head.

That argument is simply lame. If you can't see the holes in it, you wouldn't understand if i explained them.
MS have never actively tried to lock out samba users. They just haven't assisted them, which is their right.

Check your facts please: the last thing people need is more FUD about what is and isn't DRM.
It's not offtopic - WinFS is an important step in filesystem technology, and it is imperative that an open source alternative is made available.
and you can't honestly cite a work without even taking a moment to skim through it first.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
that has happened to at least two actual slashdot-based sites.
dont know why it was coded as it was, you need to go back to school. do some research.
surely its more efficient not to post until you have thought the question through?

There is no downloadable release yet, but it will be a *serious* contender to GNOME and maybe even OSX.
There is a huge difference between knowing the path, and walking the path.
You even mentioned non-portability as an argument. Yours ranks among the stupidest posts I have seen in a long time.
For example if you pay with a credit card, exactly the same information is stored and can be retrieved, with a warrant. Nothing to do with safeways cards.
FUCK YOUR DUMB.

Actually, thats where i think you are confused.
Anyway, this isn't the place for it.
