I just have a cd with the firmware on it and the PS3 has NEVER had a hard time loading from the CD. I have tried Mem Sticks before and its a mixed bag of results. I have upgraded both my own old style big PS3 and a few friends new (and old) versions, some on multiple occasions as they went to a different drive for whatever reason.
If my 335i was pink, I'd probably leave the keys in it hoping it was stolen anyway... And yes, it's black.. Time to worry? Well I'm not concerned, as I got these capacitors and filled the trunk with em... Something like 35 farads... Hmmm wonder if that explains why I always see these bum looking guys sleeping right by my car when I leave in the morning...
I can say a few things about this. Who is going to be responsible when the things get too close and trip a CB ? If the thing doesn't explode and stays put then some damage can occur. Probably not, because the recloser would kick in and see the load then trip the line again, this time permanantly, but there could be some damage...and btw Big birds cause this all the time but usually around the racks in the substation. Second thing.. Who's going to pay for the power they are stealing? Yes stealing... I know it is from getting inside the flux field and not through direct connection but they are still stealing power. Next, There isn't anything sensitive enough to accuratly gauge how much they are stealing but none the less, the load can be seen
Well, At work I work mostly in command line on varied *nix boxes so a natural is the matte screen. At home, I am more interested in watching videos, gaming, and generally stuff that is graphics/color intensive so I absolutly like the glossy better for that. I think the best solution is to buy a glossy and put an anti glare/privacy screen on it when at work. In my case work supplied me with a laptop so I just keep the screen taped on it and home I use a glossy 17" macbook pro.
I think the biggest issue (for me) is that for work I have seriously about 20 different passwords for different systems and logins and they all seem to have different requirements. It has taken me 5 minutes before just to create a password that the system will take.. I.E. 8 to 16 chars, must contain 1 special char, 1 cap, 1 lower case, and 1 number the number and the cap can not be next to each other, the number can't be the first or last char, and you cant have more than 4 chars in a row of the same class. Another system says: Must be 6 to 20 chars and contain lower case, upper case, and must begin with a number. It is an absolute nessecity to use my 256 bit AES Android password keeper on my phone or I can't even do my job nowadays.
Being in that particular biz, I can say I am not concerned about it. Most of our power goes to industrial loads anyway. Joe Consumer is only a real concern to us on those hot mid July afternoons when he is at work running his air conditioner at the same time as the thirty million others Joes. Now, if they were to ALL buy electric vehicles and charge them in the afternoon in the middle of the summer while at work.. hah well, I think the major load on the charging systems would either be early morning when you just get to work and plug in, or early evening when you just get home and plug in. Not exactly prime time for brown outs..
USCYBERCOM plans, coordinates, integrates, synchronizes and conducts activities to: direct the operations and defense of specified Department of Defense information networks and; prepare to, and when directed, conduct full spectrum military cyberspace operations in order to enable actions in all domains, ensure US/Allied freedom of action in cyberspace and deny the same to our adversaries.
So..We give 80% of this directly to Verizon, ATT and co. Wouldnt it be a better idea to maybe, oh..I don't know, Secure what we already have and make friking Email usable and actually go after the phishers and frauds out there?
I guess a better question is why I don't see eye to eye with politicians? I mean- I've got money, they have pockets... We should get along great.
Why is it the responsibility of the schools to stop piracy? Why does the government not have sufficient people put in place yet (after like 17 years of the internet) to do real cyber crime investigation?
Coming from an engineering background I saw this as an issue many, MANY, years ago. As a side note I recently had a credit card opened in my name and some other stuff done. You want to know what the detective from the local PD did? - nothing!, he took a report and told me I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE FTC WEBSITE AND FILE A REPORT--IF I WANTED TO. And thanks to this government for all the help in these spammers - which in any other venue would be outright fraud. People trying right out in the open, to steal from you by deception.
Just thinking about the meeting where they came up with this:
Steve>"but if it has no signal, show 4 bars anyway"-Everyone in meeting>"That sounds like a fantastic idea!"- I think Mr. Jobs needs to realize, or be told, that the world isn't Apple Inc. and we will actually see through the elegant smoke and mirrors (and brainwashing) - excluding fan boys, of course, and actually question his judgment.
"connect to the internet"? jeeze hey France, ever hear of a Rose node or KISS? or any of the hundreds of available(since about 1994) packet radio bbs systems that connect and use the internet at will? How about xxx.ampr.org? For the non hams, that stands for AMateur Packet Radio and when used in AMPRNet it is AMateur Packet Radio Network. Thats ok France, I've been around for years and have well over 200 countries on my list of contacts, I can do without you. Just don't get in the way of my signals with your plea for help next time your in a jam....pun intended.
And not even 30 minutes ago I see an article stating Porn industry dropping flash- Coincidence? I think not-Seagate is secretly a major player in PrOn! Think about it, it makes sense. The more you donwload the more storage you need. What better way to drive sales of new storage than by creating more content!.. haha
Looks like someone just (finally?) stumbled onto Speed TV - where they talk about this and other aspects of the remote engineering every week... Tivo it, it's actually pretty cool stuff!
I think HObama should stick to what hes good at like fixing the health care system, fixing the unemployment, and fixing the deficit, oh and getting us out of Afghanistan.... what a loser
The oil companies have rigs THEY bought. That money is sitting out there doing absolutely nothing. Say...Brazil has an oil field. Well, guess what, the rigs getting moved to a place where they are actually wanted, and a place where money will start coming in. As for the gulf well, just imagine you spent 15 million dollars to move your rig and now HObama says its ok to start drilling again. You think they are going to move those oil rigs back? Fat chance. Once they are gone, it might be 20 years before anyone even thinks about drilling in the gulf again and as for the jobs in that area, better learn Spanish and head to Brazil or Venezuela because those jobs are going to be gone...for good...yeah I think that about sums it up as to why its so important to get drilling started again(and yes I am all for tightening the crap out of safety regulations)
It will look great on any color car except black ones, ya know, the color Arnold says is not environmentally friendly and they were thinking of outlawing....What a bunch of #$^&ing morons this state has elected...only fix is to throw the hole crap ridden batch of politicians out and start from scratch.
How much do we have to put up with? I mean, seriously, how much am I supposed to endure before I say these people running this state are out of their minds. this is out of control. seriously, we need to get rid of these idiots.../// help? someone... help please?...--a Californian...
Big company stomps some poor guy--then finally after all the bad press turns around and changes their mind. Big Surprise there. like thats never happened before.
Yawn... If you didn't already know this in 2000, then by 2010 your either dead, broke, or died broke (from the identity thieves for the thinking challenged)
The interesting thing to me is that the very thing I have trouble with is HDMI on my Mini!
I have the current gen Mini and the Apple HDMI Adapter and guess what? Worked once and now "invlid format" on my 1080P TV.I had to go analog and gave up on the TV. I still have my mythbuntu for that anyway and it does a better job imo than boxee on osx evey will.
Just my 2c

In a recent interview, the internet says the artist currently known as Prince is outdated. Just like MTV and changing your name to be cool.
Well now this will give Microsoft Bob something to play when he's not on his Kin.
