What a joke. Any research receiving tax dollars should have any and all research associated with it available to the public. Don't want to make your research public, then don't take tax money.
It is almost a year ago to the day Azure was down for a day because no one accounted for leap year for validating certificates, lol. AWS seems to have issues too, but they don't seem to revolve around blatant stupidity and result in an entire day of downtime.
You do realize that the people making this "fucking sailboat" are middle class folk right? If he wasn't buying his "fucking sailboat" - they wouldn't have jobs. I know, it is hard to see through your abhorrent jealousy.
They want to ban firearms for purely cosmetic features that make no difference between it and other models, why not? Who said laws have to make sense, they clearly don't with nutter Diane Feinsteins gun bill.
Most developers aren't experts in security, that is the point. Most haven't invested the time learning how to secure software. Most told "build us a mobile App" don't quite grasp all the security ramifications that go along with it.
If you are writing mobile software, you need to grasp the shortcomings of the platforms. Reading Hacking & securing iOS Applications was eye opening - and how many devs read it?
Security concerns within Android are even worse. How many know to layer on security beyond what is offered out of the box? Many developers are standardizing on SQLCipher, but what happens when that is the "standard" and becomes a larger target?
Before reading Hacking & securing iOS Applications, the vulnerabilities were all sort of known to me, but the book sort of scared me into digging deeper and further securing my products.
Wants highly trained, highly skilled people when immigrating. Try to immigrate to Mexico. If you are a fruit picker, you aren't going to be able to. IT person with a great skillset? Your likelihood of being let in greatly improves.
But yes, lets bash America for wanting the same thing every other country does when allowing people to immigrate, some standards.
Yeah, IBM will always be the biggest PC manufacture. K-Mart will always be the largest box store. Hechts will always be one of the largest clothers. Kodak will always be the leader in film. Yep, big companies only get bigger!
Which ultrabooks have a 600dpi pressure/angle/tilt sensitive stylus on a 1920x1080 screen?
who cares? They don't have them because they aren't necessary for a laptop.
And for the tablet functionality, yes - virtually any tablet will get you what you need. Using the Surface in "Desktop" mode is fucking unfortunate if you've ever used one, it is just unusable. It isn't leveraging that 4GB of RAM for metro, sorry to tell you.
Who cares if the Nexus isn't running photoshop, you aren't creating photoshop documents with the rollout keyboard touchpad of the Surface either. It flat out is terrible to use. Have you actually used one?
Oh wait, you can't even RUN PHOTOSHOP on the Surface yet - because it doesn't run on Windows RT. So, what the hell are you even postulating?
The issue with the surface is, it isn't a tablet and it isn't a laptop. For the price of it, you can get an awesome ultrabook. You can also get a comparable tablet for a lot less.
I think people want a tablet that they can use a keyboard on, but I don't think that this is it. MS has tried for over a decade to convince us it's was of doing a tablet is the right way - and it has been a failure.
I haven't seen any enterprises adopting them, so I am unsure where they actually plan to sell them
I don't think the surface is a "bad idea" it is just terribly executed.
Yeah, I am not buying it either. HR departments have no incentive to cough up the info. It takes time (aka money) to do - HR staff is already overworked, so who in the hell is going to do it for free?
Plus, why would they? It gives them nothing in return and opens them up to possible liability.
Then they shouldn't receive funds paid for in taxes, simple as that. If tax dollars go towards it, it should benefit the public. End of story.

If we can't stop the meteor, then what is the point? I mean - it is like being told you'll be shot in the face the second before it happens.
Our interest rates are so low because our government can't afford to pay them if they were higher.
How terrible - we go back to spending levels of 2011! It was like we were a third world then!
I mean, clothing? Instead of focusing on issues which will actually solve their problems, they want to make clothes?
Does anyone at USPS in a leadership position have a frickin brain?
They want to ban firearms for purely cosmetic features that make no difference between it and other models, why not? Who said laws have to make sense, they clearly don't with nutter Diane Feinsteins gun bill.

has no relevance to what I wrote

Ah, the little worker bees who are too lazy to start their own businesses, please - tell me more of your childish theories.
I agree, lets also trim government down to the same size as it was then. Oh wait - can't have that, can we?
Yes, I have. I find it "clunky" - MS is trying to solve a valid business problem, but they have done so poorly. Fantastic idea, poor execution.
and two months later quits his job. Coincidence? I think not.

I think the Surface is a terrible device, but It will be interesting to see reaction to this vs reaction to the Nexus ordering issues.
He'd be an idiot not to, just look at the price.
More simple than that - you can't publish Apps that make Apples' hardware look bad. Period.
