    But, I'd say for a majority of people - the PIN is simply enough. Yes, iOS and Android are trivial to hack, but lacking one opens them up to easy exploits. I mean, a 4 digit numeric pin is virtuously useless - but it would protect you when your phone got stolen.

    the famed incident was more of a social engineering hack than anything else. Which, lets be fair, you can have the best security in the world, but humans are the biggest weaknesses in any real system.

    Security is a constantly evolving game - people are constantly developing exploits. Could Apple be better? Everyone can. Are they bad? I don't think they are horrible.

    Hell, how many people don't even have PIN screens setup on their phone. Most people just don't care at all.

    Lets also not forget that WP8 Apps and W8 Apps aren't the "same" - unlike iOS and Android, they are separate SDK frameworks. So, you have to do twice the work to hit the "Windows 8" platform. What a great use of resources, for a platform no one wants.

    In reality - she wanted it both ways. She leveraged the Internet mob (her twitter followers) on the two guys that "offended" her.

    Yet, we know the Internet mob is a fickle beast. She got the reaction she wanted - but - it also lashed back at her. They brutally attacked her.

    Which, who knows, that could have been part of the scheme all along. She knew the Internet kids would strike back with real sexism and real attacks - validating the "hatred against women" she wants to perpetuate.

    Live by the mob, die by the mob.

    Two people at a conference telling jokes you find offensive? Ok, say something to them. Her taking it to Twitter is no different than the faceless drones threatening her via twitter - too coward to confront someone face to face - instead attacking someone via the Internet.

    She is a self described activist, who is too afraid to confront two nerds?

    A bit of human decency, on both parties (aka: talking to another human being) would have mitigated this entire situation and two people would still have their jobs.

So, when we all took an income hit we were told "suck it up" - when the government takes a hit in additional spending (remember they are only cutting the rate of growth, not actual spending cuts) - Obama and Congress run around like the world is ending.

    But Yahoo! wasn't Some 500 out of 11000 employees teleworking is a bit different than 70% of your staff teleworking. MySQL was designed to work remotely, while it sounds like Yahoo! was shoe horned into it. Not saying Yahoo! can't adapt, but it is clear how Yahoo! has been dying that - something is critically wrong in the culture there. I don't see killing teleworking as bad - simply because, well, there is just a lot wrong with the company that needs to be fixed. Time will tell if it was a wise decision...

    Doing a lot with SharePoint documentation and you'll discover why MSDN is the absolute worst for actually learning a single thing.

    Mayer had to do what is right for Yahoo! They have been stagnant for awhile, so - perhaps it is a proper change in management. I guess time will tell.

    I work remotely (for the last year and a half) and it definitely has benefits but it also has drawbacks. There *is* something to working in an office with coworkers, but there is something to be said about working remotely (being out of stupid meetings, getting drawn into things, etc).
