Agreed. I helped teach a one-week summer class for junior high kids using Alice, and I don't think there was a single one that didn't enjoy it. And it demonstrates Object Oriented programming well.
we HAVE to pay this, or the economy will collapse in the same way it did when the banks went bust in 29.
What, and no one has thought of *any* viable alternatives?
They need to impose tight regulations again
As I understand it, regulation was one of the causes of this trouble in that in the books they had to value the mortgage securities at a fraction of the actual value and later couldn't sell it for any more than that.
Running a company for a second job? Might be a bit much.
I suggest checking out the bounties some Open Source projects are issuing. You get cash plus the warm fuzzies of helping out FOSS.
Interestingly, the 'fundamentalists' feel it is the other way around, starting back when the small, one-room American schoolhouses often included Bible scriptures in their lessons. Many people are still sore over Madalyn Murray O'Hair "taking God out of the schools".
Give JS some time. I had similar feelings when I first stepped into it, but now I've come to appreciate not having to worry about datatypes and the like.
There are occasions where I would appreciate some basic support for classes. But I suppose they could be mimicked through function variables in some way.
In theory, C could have an eval equivalent, it would be a library call to a built-in compiler or some such structure. And it might be possible to mimic a dynamic typing system using pointers, structs, and what have you. JS environments have to implement it somehow.
Dangit fine. I tried to resist, but there wasn't enough time left on the countdown.
That's basically what the GP was saying, that ISPs will just have to market to the /.ers wanting a fiber connection.
Or just get a Cowon. :D
All we have is the trailer, that's all we can review.
Exactly. That's what's happening.
I buy from Newegg, you insensitive clod!
From what I understand from my forays into Perl and Bash scripting, yes. Yes it is. Though yours is almost too understandable to count.
And let another group get sucked into the RIAA's machine? No thanks.
Well there's also the amount of fuel going into the chamber each cycle.
No, he'll just pity you. Pity you so hard you'll never see the light of day again. And then he will pity you even more for it.
Mr. T's pity is second only to a Chuck Norris roundhouse.

I would love to see that RFC :)
COBOL was a '60s fad.
I'm imagining this projector combined with a Bluetooth Laser Keyboard. With a mini computer made out of Gumstix or something.

Agreed. It's the only position where you can actually get people on both sides to agree on something. Namely, hating you. ;)
Don't forget the Butterscotch Ripple.
Is there a death ray? It's the only way to be sure.
Well, they are tired of these m*****f***ing customers on this m*****f***ing plan.
Well, just have a team of designers who watch what the players do and build the scenarios around them.

We don't talk about High School Musical here.
And from a user's standpoint, the difference is academic semantics.
