  1. RTF is better for versioning. on Why You Should Choose MS Office Over OO.org · · Score: 1

RTF goes into cvs/perforce/etc. as a text file. DOC goes in as a binary.

So, you can use $Version$, $Author$, whatever in an RTF and they'll get updated by the server when checked in.

You can also text diff RTFs. To get diffs in a DOC, you need to turn MSWord's versioning on and the doc gets bigger and bigger.

    Not so true.

My friend just bought a Dell, and within 2 days the price on that configuration was $500 less.

They said they'd send him $220 (some magic calculation on the difference), but instead he sent it back for $100 (minus $25 the CSR arranged).

He then bought a much better system for less $$ as the prices had all come down.

Dell sent Airborne Express to pick it up, and he had used the machine, and also lost the box the speakers came in.

Don't know if this works for everyone, but I do know that he was _extremely_ nice to the CSR.

    YMMV.

I've been playing FF X-2 for around 2 weeks (got it day after release).

Very fun. All of Spira is open from the get-go, and you have missions all over the place.

    Animation and graphics are top-shelf.

You only get the three playable characters, but it's kind of cool figuring out which dresspheres (jobs) you want them to specialize in. For instance, I've been training:
Yuna - Gunner, White Mage, Black Mage, Songstress
Rikku - Thief, White Mage, GunMage, Warrior
Paine - Warrior, Samurai, Black Mage

I have never played an FF where I used "Phoenix Down" so often! Monsters are generally pretty tough, and the girls get KO'ed a lot.

The Songstress class is silly. The character actually insists on going "La La La" when you cast a 'sing' spell.

There have been some fun minigames so far. And there's the slight disturbing, pseudo-lesbian "massage" game in LeBlanc's HQ...
