    I personally don't think anyone has the right to not be offended. If someone says something you don't like, ignore them. If a person isn't capable of controlling their own emotions, they have problems far greater than some annoying person.

    This is the most retarded question ever. It has nothing to do with the browser, it has to do with the printer driver. You can easily make a 50" wide page in Word too. Are you then going to Ask Slashdot how to print that?! Get a wider printer, moron.

    Having talked with several accountants, they all seemed to operate under the accounting rules that will likely be in effect in the short-term (within a year) future. This rather than operate under the rules currently in effect. I'm not sure what their justification is for such behavior, but I can say it is common behavior (and IMHO very odd).

    Slander/libel laws are against factual misrepresentations. You can say anything you want about anybody as long as it's true or obviously a opinion.

    The slander/libel laws derive from the morals against lying, not keeping everyone happy.

    No I mean that pimpled faced 130 pound highschool sophomore that decided to try 'shrooms after school, but oops he's late for dinner so he decides to drive his 3500 pound car, but oops there's a little girl walking home from school who just happens to be in his way.

    Laws won't completely prevent the situation, but they sure as hell make it less likely. And that's good enough for me and most of the rest of America.

    It sounds like register.com is passing the blame. I have several .us domains through several different registrars (none of which are register.com), and they all work perfectly fine (all changes I make take place almost immediately).
