The "auction" had nothing to do with NeuStar, that's the way Dotster does its preregistrations. You could have used any numerous other registrars to pre-register names at $15 a year. And they don't charge you unless successfully registered (neither does Dotster). With that in mind, I preregistered my names at every registrar I could find to improve my chances, and it worked out great. And I only payed $30 (2 years) for each name.
Of course, if you had actually read www.nic.us, you would have known all this.
I've used several "souped-up" Sun Blade 100's. They are so slooooow it's not even funny. This is with a minimal installation, and I wouldn't even think about running Gnome on it. The Blade 1000's are decent though, albeit more expensive.

The point is that someone that makes that much money doesn't need to steal a $20 gift card. Maybe someone that makes as much as the manager or less might go through the trouble, but a doctor most likely would not.
Stay away from cards that don't have PXE and cards in which the driver won't compile into the kernel (as opposed to a module) if you plan to do easy installations or mount root off the network. In other words, stay away from Netgear and some 3Com cards (I haven't tested others), and play it safe with Intel.
Are you sure all 8 ports support gigabit? Most likely it has a gigabit uplink port and the rest are 10/100. The switches with all ports supporting gigabit are expensive.
I hate our litigious society as much as the next person, but I think we've finally found a good use for all the lawyers: tying up spammers in court. I mean, if they're sitting in court, they can't be sending anyone spam, can they?
disallowing the previous 9 passwords just leads to me using "[usualpassword]0-9"
This can be prevented with Epasswd by restricting the number of overlapping characters from previous passwords. It should be noted that Epasswd has more options than are posted on its webpage.
I loved the AT&T scam. They kept sending me $100 checks and I would switch back the next month. I made so much money off them.
Fuck you cunt bitch whore. Appreciate that?
Those are board games right?
Did anyone say otherwise?
The disclaimer is on the bottom.

Everyone hide! ... the Scientologists are here!
The Phantom Editor's Website!
I was specifically targeting my comments to clusters in which the nodes boot and/or mount root off the network. Next time, pay attention.
Aren't Fact 3 and Fact 4 contradictory? Girls like assholes, not pussies like you.
Don't point out their flawed logic, they think they're smarter than NASA. Keep letting them think that!
Idiot moderators. The parent of this post had a disguised link. Next time I'll let you have a large open anus in your mind forever. :)
Yes, we use these in our cluster right now, I said if you want PXE and drivers that compile into the kernel, then avoid them.

By using real domains, you're doing a real disservice to those who host them.
Homosexuals are an abominition of man, why wouldn't there be laws discriminating against them? Where were the laws protecting the Jews, huh?
Then walk to campus and use the internet!
