    I do not think burning a flag constitutes a pressing issue, while I respect our national flag as much as the next guy I just do not think that this falls under that category. Possibly the war in Iraq, maybe our energy prices. Those are a few of the biggest ones in my mind.

    There are plenty of others that our government here in the US should concentrate on. Yet we have our congressional leaders voting for a pay raise for themselves, but nixing a minimum wage increase, I think they should try to live on minimum wage for a year to see how the other half lives.

    I think our government has some more pressing issues to deal with than making a browser standards compliant.

    Let me tell you you got that right. I have 2 1/2 twin boys and when they were little ones I just wanted to rip their larynx right out, but that would have been cruel. It is a little better now that they are older albeit a different loud screaming and yelling.

    The FCC has no juristiction outside the US. Plus the article in question pertains to VOIP and telephony not the entire internet.

    For programs that exhibit issues on 64-bit-based computers that support the No Execute (NX) technology, the new Data Execution Prevention feature that is included with Windows XP SP2 may be preventing the programs from running correctly.
    looks to me that they were pretty specific.

    Then why release it at all? Why not wait those 24 hours to integrate the patch before releasing it into the wilds of the net? FF 1.0.4 has been released for a week now and Netscape has known about those holes, they could have patched it inhouse, but they didn't.

    He apparently is not waiting for windows to finish loading also, which is causing a lot of the slowness issues. He starts windows, logs in and clicks the steam icon. Windows Xp actually loads the gui before anything else thereby it seems that windows loads faster than it actually does. Just look at your hard drive light and watch it go nuts for a few minutes after logging in. Steam will not load before that because windows is taking precedence.

    I have actually had that happen in an old car of mine. The engine suddenly raced with the result being the car surged ahead. It apparently had something to do with the carburator the mechanic said. //did not RTFA
