...they are killing me!!! It started in the summary, "Is it time for a new name, or is a rose by any other name still as sweet?" and ended in the article's final section titled "Wired is Tired"
I see what you mean now. However, I would submit that there are similarly vocal groups that are poised to blame religion or "the Bible" for any of a number of violent acts. Violent video games are a hotter topic right now with a loud enough group of people voicing their dissent. This is for a number of reasons not the least of which are that it's hard to argue FOR violence in video games and in general video games are considered a negative for people spending too much time on them. The Bible, on the other hand, has a large majority on its side, and any notable politician who would come out specifically saying it should be band would either be cast out of office.
Other than a loose metaphor between the intellectual socialism of wikipedia and the communistic regime that is China, the government will only keep it available for as long as it takes for "unseemly" articles about government tyranny to make there way on to the site.
Make no mistake, China's government is allowing this solely for its own benefit. Who knows what that benefit is, but when the potential costs begin to outweigh those benefits, suddenly participation will be down to zero.
Just because the online store is potentially more convenient doesn't mean that it must be the way that is ADA accessible. The Target storefronts are viable alternatives to the online store. It is not incumbent on Target to provide a viable alternate OTHER than a storefront.
There are entire ecommerce products that out of the box don't support page readers. And besides, going to the store IS a viable alternative/equivalent in my book.
The company I currently work for has an ethics test. I remember when the small company I worked for was acquired by this company, we all had to take the ethics test at the same time. At that time it was phone-based (dial in list of answers) and, ironically, we started passing around the list of answers once one person had taken it. Great thing to do on an ethics test, eh??? But how it applies here...we passed the test, but really didn't necessarily read the material. The questions were almost entirely common sense, but it saved a lot of time!
So, now they have another way to make absolutely ridiculous looking outfits that would never have any practical purpose outside the runway. Or would it actually be considered useful for your dress to fan out, showing off whatever you might have underneath, while it transforms into a nearly identical version of itself.
I suppose this could be useful for criminals trying to evade the police. Then again, how many 5 ft 11 in 80lb people would there be skulking around the bank.
Honestly, fashion shows should really be renamed into wearable art shows, because that's what they are. Well, okay, some of them could be renamed "Designer X wanted to see Model Y's boobs so he 'designed' a dress lacking any substance above the waist" shows.
While I don't think it would have an immediate impact (a la the moon exploding like in Time Machine remake) but it could certainly have an impact on tidal flows. I don't know what other environmental impact the moon has, and I have no clue how much a change in mass it would take to affect earth noticably, but it should at least be done carefully. The moon is definitely part of our ecosystem.
I swear I really am a 19/F/Nextdoortoyou measurements 36-30-32 with no moral standards. I also can't get enough of scrawny little nerds, they make me so hornaaaay!
And my name really is Aicrules, I'd show you my birthcertificate, but I wasn't born to a human mother!
Perhaps if they only integrated bluetooth earbuds into the glasses, and an accompanying Stereo-out to bluetooth connection that worked on most existing MP3 players?
And as we know, to be groundbreaking to the masses, you mustn't require any deviation from the standard to be noticed by those masses. Something that simple to make a game that much more intuitive to play should have been caught in user testing and made standard. Little things CAN make a good game GREAT.
Can you really quote article titles? They often have grammatical ambiguities because they must be composed of so few words. The content of the article does nothing to support the title of the article MEANING that XBox360 is good, not great. It does say that Xbox 360 launch titles aren't all that spectacular, and that's reinforced by the fact that they compare it to the Halo release.
That all said, without including the games in your assessment of a console, the assessment is somewhat flawed. The difference, however, between this and what happens to unsupported platforms (like Amiga) is that XBox 360 WILL have great games. It isn't just empty potential.
It was the first console FPS that was actually playable with a decent control mechanism.
And on the marketing-side Halo had been at as high a level of anticipation and notariety as any of the FPS games of this era. Controversy (going from a Mac/PC game to just a PC game to just an XBox game) fed into that as well as the vehicles.
Yes, but short of cloning the entire population of the United States 10-fold, there's not much chance we'll increase those numbers noticably. Run an ad campaign about all the hot, loose women in the engineering field, on the other hand, and you'll probably end up with six figure graduations.
FORM THE HORDE!!!!

Um, I don't know what planet you live on but the Bible and the equivalent in other religions are all blamed for acts of violence all the time.

Only if you hide behind the toilet...or a box of tofurky.

We're talking about Target here....the real store came first...the online store is just a supplement that came later.

Perhaps something like this Human Browser Interface Error?
Only to be stricken by sloppy internal perception code causing random synapse firings building to a pace that you suddenly just start breakdancing.
What the heck is this?

That's gotta hurt. I'll bet that the last time Slashdot accepts a submission from that person (NOT!).

They sold a LOT of xbox consoles because of Halo.
that's gotta hurt. I expect that's probably the last Microsoft product that CNN gets their hands on early for review.
