I have a main server that has a few hundred gigs of space for media serving. The Xboxes and other computers have wireless connections. Xbox Media Center streams the audio and video perfectly to the two main TVs.
Xbox hard drives are not known for crashing. Where does that come from? The problem is the DVD Roms are known to be unrealiable depending on the models. My Xbox (bought it the day it came out) doesn't read discs anymore either. Mine has a Thompson drive in it and that one seems to be the most unreliable (Phillips and Samsung models are also used).
I've been using Ubuntu 4.10 for a couple weeks now. Nice easy install and I haven't had any issues. What made you choose Gnome to focus your resources on rather than KDE?
Much better to play online games with guns. If someone offends you they get shot in the head. Or really if they don't offend you they get shot in the head anyways.
I've been using RAdmin for years at work and home on a daily basis. I haven't found anything better in any of the other VNC programs (haven't tried all of them on the list but quite a few).
My MP3 car player works fine with CDRs. I suppose if you really don't want to carry around CDs in your car there's a use. What I want is a car MP3 player that will read DVD+Rs.
Sarge: "Gentlemen this is the M-12-LRV. I like to call it the Warthog."
Simons: "Why Warthog, Sir.'
Sarge: "Because M-12-LRV is too large for conversation, son."
Grif: "No, why Warthog. I mean it doesn't really look like a pig."
Sarge: "Say that again."
Grif: "I mean it looks more like a Puma."
Sarge: "What in Sam hell is a Puma?"
Simons: "Ahhh, do you mean like the shoe company?"
Grif: "Nooo, like a Puma. It's a big cat. Like a Lion."
Sarge: "Your making that up."
hehe funny stuff
may this be a new primate but a semi-intelligent one at that. Evidence shows these apes actually possess laptop computers, internet connections, and are notorious for posting "first post" and "3 steps to profit" comments on nearly every Slashdot thread.
Goodbye SCO... Who's next on the chopping block?
Why not buy an Xbox to use with Live and forget about getting around detection? Who wants Live full of cheaters on hacked xboxes?

Excellent sequel. Not a huge jump from the first. Really makes me want to call in sick the rest of the week and just play.
My kid will love it that's for sure... I'll see it about 500 times when it's out of DVD.
is whether Hormel will license the Monty Python skit for Spam in their new campaign?

I'll hold on to my three Ultimate TV receivers. Still the best DVR for DirecTV IMO. Especially since you can pick up units on Ebay for less than $40.

I worked for a couple years writing Turbo Pascal applications for real time auto emissions analysis. I have not missed it since I left that company.

Xbox with a modchip and XBMC
1. Wireless Xbox g adapter $50 (Ebay)
stream any audio or video off your server
2. Big hard drive 120+ and load it up.
Get the DVD adapter and have it controlled by remote. Nice and easy.

Think of the implications this will have on Segway polo!

Cars that speed themselves up, MPAA sending out false accusations, fradulent voting machines, OS/X running on an Xbox... Madness!
