uuups. I'm from Portugal. Also the lowest connection speed i know that can be contracted here is 2 Mb unlimited for 16.99€, the rest is usually 10+. Some reach 200Mbps and there are some pilot programs @ 1Gb residencial. Also 3 or 4 providers offer (real) FTTH.
My parents pay a little under 40€ for unlimited phone to 75 countries (landlines) 24/7, 110 channels and 100 Mb Eurodocsis 3 internet connection. Today I reached 80mb/s+ on a real world download - not some speedtest - at their house.
And from what I understand in France the price and services are very similar
In other news, a door in germany refuses to open because some script kiddie got it's IP address and crashed the door. Officials are trying their best to open the door but they suspect the door has to be rebooted.

I have HUGE respect to who used to promote spyware and realised it was best to stop promoting it.
I think is better to realise what you did wrong and correct it than to keep doing it
If I open the page on IE it shows the number os downloads after maybe 20 Seconds...
If I open it in Firefox 1.0.1 the counter never starts, keeps showing "Loading..."
It's kinda small, but is worth's the money.
Don't forget the biggest MOD comunity on the world used HL1 engine, and 90% of their code is compatible with HL2. A must!

Why should I ?
The only reason Windows is on my hard drive is because of the games and a few programs I need.
Move to MacOSX?
If I was going to move I would move to Linux. The games would not be there the same, but I would have a far better scalable OS
