    You're actually correct with your assumption. With CRTs, Black areas use less voltage than white areas. But, I dont think it works the same way with lcds.

    Actually, Walmart sells a sempron 2200+ linspire pc for $200. Add a $25 capture card, a $25 IR or RF remote, and 2 ratshack RCA/stereo conveters for $5, then you have your own PVR ($255). Best part is, you can decide want you want in it, a web browser, dvd player, mp3 jukebox, its up to you.

    Tivo's something I've always found neat, but the cost and/or monthly fees has always made me want to roll my own with MythTV

    I had a friend with such an affliction, he was able to hold a pencil with his mouth and use that to type. He would joke about looking like a pigeon, but he was in fact faster at typing than most abled people.

    John Stewart, while very funny, definatly wears his politics on his shoulder. Stewart speaks his mind and has openly supported one political party over the other. The CBS anchor job requires a neutral position, so that the newscast is not agenda driven like Foxnews or CNN. Dan Rather was actually good at hiding his political beliefs, I doubt Stewart could be as successful.

    You're right, it was a really poor choice of words. What I should of entitled my post: "What features do you think MS ported from Firefox?". I'll remember next time! But I'm glad the mods finally saw the brilliance of me prophesizing tabs in IE7 ;)

    You're absolutly right and thank you for pointing out my bad choice in words. I should of entitled my post: "I wonder what features MS has ported from Firefox?".
