Well the first two games didn't have any sands of time in them. It's like Final Fantasy in that they all have the same title but you play different princes and different stories in each. So far they have released 3 different series. The first one is Prince of Persia and Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame. The second one is Prince of Persia 3D but I haven't played it so I don't know if it has any relation with the previous ones. The last one is the Sands of Time series which is a trilogy. Now it seems they are starting another series.
I find it funny some people say KDE should stop copying Vista, others OSX, Gnome or Win2K. If you want to say they copied something at least agree on what it is.
Well I was speaking generally but yes, Quake 3 is more than point and click. You have to manage your weapons and use the right one at the right moment. Do you finish the opponent with the machine gun to conserve ammo for your rocket launcher and risk letting him get away and replenish health? You have to control the map by timing the important items. Do you let him have the red armor while denying him access to good weapons or vice versa? Will you choose to control the top of the map from where it's easy to shoot your opponent or the bottom where there are more interesting items? These are only some examples of what you have to think about in a 1 on 1 match while shooting and avoiding being shot. You won't get very far if you only shoot without thinking...
If you are talking about Wolfenstein 3D it's not freeware, nor abandonware. The source code was released as GPL though, but not the data. And you can still buy it on steam.
Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is a multiplayer objective based team game. It uses the Quake 3 engine and is freeware, but not free software.
Personnally I believe the future is not Beryl or Compiz but already existing window managers like Metacity and KWin, seeing how both of them should provide 3d effects in their next version. Once everyone can get their wobbly windows and other useful effects with the standard window manager, no one will care about Beryl or Compiz anymore.

It's not the same thing at all. This new trilogy has nothing to do with the Sands of Time.
They are working on 3 projects now. Doom 4, Rage and Quake 0 or Live or whatever it's called these days.
Prey, Quake 4 and ETQW.

Duplicate link. Try this one http://edu.kde.org/.
Yeah but Blender wasn't always open source.
Why? You said it yourself. Gnome unlike KDE doesn't have an educational suite.
And what do you make of people like me who use both KDE and Gnome?
You forgot to add '~' at the end of your sentences.

Just because a game is fast doesn't mean it has no depth.
Since the form requires a ZIP code, is this offer limited to the USA ?
Except that it doesnt. By KDE they mean the KDE libraries and some KDE applications, not the desktop itself.

KDE4 has it's own composition manager.
That's not exactly the case since MJ is a black man that's turning into a white woman.
In french an Internet user is called "internaute".

Which one are you talking about ? There are three screenshots in that blog post.
It has only one processor.
Actually a slashdotter would understand this analogy perfectly well, provided you reversed it.
I think it's a typo in the article. He probably wanted to say "like BSD's ports or Gentoo's portage".
