    There is no such thing as a "Qt4 project" and only kdelibs and some applications will be ported to Windows and OSX, not the whole KDE environment.

    What are you talking about ? Phonon and Decibel (the projects I'm assuming you're referring to) are not replacing the applications you mention. In fact they will be used by those applications once they are ported to KDE 4.

    And the point of the parent was that there won't be any games using new features of DX10 for a long time. Time enough for nvidia to release an upgraded 8800 that supports them (or even a new generation).

    As someone said above, open the asx file with a text editor, copy the url of the mpeg file and download it manually.

    Do you know about Yakuake ?

    It's like the Quake console, you invoke it with a shortcut (by default it's F12 but you can change it) and it slides from the top of the screen. You can make it transparent too. And it has tabs.

    Err, Quake 3 was not supposed to have any "interactivity" (whatever that means) or storyline. It was a multiplayer game designed for competition.

    It's not the first time, many IM clients like Kopete and Gaim offer similar functionality through plugins. I know at least Kopete can use Babelfish or Google for translating.

    Tenor is a contextual linking engine. Kat is an indexing engine and desktop search tool like Beagle or Spotlight. As it happens, the two teams are working together and Tenor will be built on top of Kat in KDE4.
