I've thought about this one as well. And it's always been that we all ASSUME that Yoda is referring to Leia. What if he isn't? There were other Jedi scattered around the galaxy, and there are always more force-sensitive children being born... It's very possible that Yoda is referring to one of them. In the EU stories, Leia makes for a ho-hum Jedi... she was always out of practice, and never developed her skills.

Apparently, the power source (possibly the batteries) is located in the torso.

While your assumption is interesting, it's not necessarily correct. The difference between being shot by a plasma weapon (that uses excited gasses... as opposed to a phaser, which is modulated light) is energy overload. Perhaps the blaster shorted 3p0's head, where an impact would not.

I'd say $200 is pretty decent.

I used to be the kind of guy that would spend $400 on a new videocard that you can get for $200 within 6 months. That's since changed

Last night, my mother in law bought me a new videocard (CRAZY!) because she missed my birthday a month ago... it's an ATI X700Pro 256meg that ran $179.00 after instant $20 rebate.
I installed it last night and it was VASTLY superior to the card I got 1&1/2 to 2 years ago for nearly $500. I turned everything up on Farcry, WoW, and BFVietnam. It's smooth as glass on my AMD3000 machine.

I wont be shelling out that much money again anytime soon.

Sounds like a BHO (browser helper object) that keeps reinstalling other spyware.

Try running MS Antispy beta from www.microsoft.com it has a section for the browser that'll get rid of those things.

A couple of counterpoints/arguments about your post (not flaming, just offering other ideas). 1. 3PO and R2 arent exactly introduced to vader "here my lord, are C3PO and R2D2"... there are MILLIONS of these types of droids in the empire. 2. Vader wouldn't visit... he's no longer Anakin and doesn't care abit about his half brother. 3. You'll find many people die within a year of their spouses demise, some theorize (sp) that it's due to "broken heart". The mind can influence the body's health tremendously. If she was just utterly devastated, it's possible. 4. Yoda 'failed'? How did he fail? Anakin swung over to the Darkside... Yoda may have realized that the jedi were being wiped out, and abandoned the fight to preserve the jedi traditions (and possibly to rebuild and counterattack). 5. Vader and Palpy also have the Senate as well as the entire GRP (army) between them... even "evenly matched" there wouldn't be a way for 2 jedi to get anywhere near them after the Jedi Purge.

It's Timothy Zahn, actually. These books were very well done. The problem is that they were shortly after jedi in the timeline and still focus on Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewy. All the actors are now too old for the storyline.

On another topic, I have an idea as to why Jimmy Smits was cast as Bail Organa.
We know that there is going to be a live-action series. Smits is a TV/series actor MUCH more than a film actor (though I thought he did very well), I'll bet that the series that comes out has a lot to do with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma setting up the rebellion. Probably a lot of young Leia in it as well.
