So yeah, if you go strictly by what the scientists said, planet's fate IS already sealed. Nothing we can do now will fix the irreversable warming that will doom the planet.

He doesn't believe Google will ever censor him because he only thinks the correct progressive thoughts, and Google loves progressive thought.

But here's another scenario for him to think about: demographic change engineered by liberals will lead to death of conservatism and the Republican party. They actually brag about this, and they're working hard to bring this about, and real life data shows they're succeeding. Trump is just a tiny speed bump, history is on their side. So the Republican party will very likely fold and disappear in the near future, and the remaining party (Dem) will split into two. This is a pattern that's happened over and over again in the past, so there's no reason to think why it won't happen again. Probably it will be the Socialist Democrats (Ocasio Sanders et. al) versus the Big Business Democrats (Feinstein Clinton et. al).

There are suggestive correlations between reduced child mortality and reduced family size.

If that were true then surely the great improvements in medicine and reduction in child mortality that happened from late 19th century to late 20th century would've resulted in smaller family size and smaller global population. Did the global population shrink from 1890 to 1990?

  19. Humans are a virus on Mosquitoes Genetically Modified To Crash Species That Spreads Malaria (npr.org) · · Score: 0

Climate change is real and habitat destruction is accelerating.

There is nothing you can do, not driving a Prius, not being Vegan, not recycling your socks and underwear, NOTHING, that's better for the environment and the planet than not having children. NOTHING.

If you actually cared even just a little for the environment, reducing human population should be your top #1 priority. And yes, environmental groups used to focus on this. They used to promote population reduction and they used to be anti-immigration. Not just against illegal immigration, ALL immigration. Because more immigration = more people = bad for the environment.

Nowadays though, all the big environment groups all favor increasing population and advocate open-border immigration. And not coincidentally, they all took large sums of cash donation from vested interests and powers that be who profit from more population, more consumption, and more immigration. So yeah, Greenpeace and Sierra Club sold out their principles for cash moolah.

Anyways, saving millions of children from malaria is all well and good, but what are we gonna do when the world population is 10 billion? 15 billion? Those numbers are coming up fast and will be here soon, definitely within the lifetime of a lot of people on this forum. How about saving millions of people from malaria, but then giving them vasectomy and hysterectomy? Also how about closing down borders and restricting immigration so the high growth countries are forced to confront their internal problems and improves things, instead of exporting their problems to better-run countries?
