    Outside of N. America, most people pirate Windows so yes, it's cheap. (just go to anywhere in Asia or Africa and try to find a computer running a legit copy of Windows)

    and "channel sales" while conveniently omitting the true numbers sold? Is there that big a difference between the number they sold to actual consumers and the number shipped into the "channel"? If so then your product is a loser.

    Microsoft can stuff the channel with 50 million Surface tablets tomorrow but that doesn't mean jack since the actual number sold to consumers can be counted with the fingers and toes on your body.

    He's probably using a El Cheapo monitor with a brand name like AOC or something. And it's probably defective.

    I've never heard of anyone being bothered by LED flickering. I would suggest that he buy a quality brand like Samsung or LG so that he can be sure he as a good working unit. His current one has something wrong with it.

    However the smarter ones do just what you described, out of their own self interest. My hosting company contacted me once about a vulnerable Mambo extension they found.

    quickscoping is just a glitch/artifact in the game and has no relevance to real-life firearm skill or any other skill. However, top COD players are able to recognize even one pixel out of place in a scene... their reflexes honed from many hours of battling against campers and snipers. This (ability to recognize something out of place quickly) can probably help in many real-world situations.

    When did the word "tech" become synonymous with a internet dot.com business? Must've been the late 90's.

    Time to move on and realize technology encompasses more than just "doing ____, but on the internet!"

    Internet has been a good thing but the downside has been that it absorbed too much money that could've gone int real tech like fusion and space rockets.
