  1. Scrapping the Shuttle? on Space Shuttle to re-launch in May · · Score: 4, Interesting

I thought they were scrapping the shuttle? This might of been interesting if it was 20-30 years from now and they were taking their "restored 57 Chevy" out into space. Personally I am to the point where these shuttle flights are a big waste of money "if" they are not doing anything innovative to help the next breed of space capable crafts.

The only fundamental failure with CoH is the lack of risk/reward. The only "Drops" in the game are enhancements and inspirations. If they added in non combat stuff like "Costume pieces", Dyes, ect so people could get "non-combat" fun stuff I think it would add "some" flavor.

Regardless of how many times I see new "Revolutionary" technology it never seizes to amaze me.

  10. Macs & Games on Why Apple Should Port Games · · Score: 0

The first computer I purchased was a MAC. I was big into MUD's and a nice simple strait forward durable computer was what I was looking for. Also MAC's seemed to have a slightly faster connection with modems (Dunno why). Once games like Warcraft II came out and year's later mac ported it I was still okay with it. Then games really started to hit the market. Interesting ones I really wanted to play. However they were not for MAC. My next computer was a PC. I probally will never go MAC again due to the lack of games.

Apple seems to be more geared to specific aspects of computing and do it very well. I have a hard-core Linux co-worked who is seriously thinking of purchasing a MAC for a media PC. Either the marketing is getting better or the options are. Good job Apple.

Space station IMHO is a good idea. Think airlines/small airports. You take a bi-plane from a small town to a major airport then a large boeing 747+ to your distant destination. We could assemble something similar for space. Small efficent shuttle from surface - orbit. Then a long-distant (take advantage of space) based ship for the actual space travel. I think we need to stop trying to make a "DO ALL" spaceship and just try to get individual functions improved.

I do not have all the technical details that he once explained to me.

My guildmate would rack in 50-100mil creds a day. He was in the top 3 weaponsmiths on Gorath server (Davinci). After the #1 guy left he teamed up with the #1 Armorsmith and basically started racking in more creds than he knew what to do with. Farming creatures and doing zones is much more fun.. Just generally not as profitable. But unless your investing 15-20mil in equipment to harvest resources/craft. You will have plenty to play this expansion.
