This, believe it or not, is a very good read. It brings up some interesting thoughts on science and how it interacts with religion. It shows that the stereotype of the church is against is untrue. It has some interesting observations on the Catholic church and its views on things.
But, this being Slashdot, I am afraid all we will see is a mindless trollfest.
You sir, are a complete asshole. It is no wonder you are unemployed for so long.
You make a wild claim. You then get asked for a source. You then say "google it". Others call you out on it. You then use a smart-ass "lmgtfy" link and say "read all the links". Considering that there are over 2 million such links that will be hard.
When you finally give a snippet of what you claim to be your proof of your original statement, it has little relation to your claim. A threat is still a threat, but in the case you cite, there was no threat. Prosecutors trumped up a charge and said Watt made a threat when he said
""They always holler at us to get an education. And now I have already received my draft classification as 1-A and I have got to report for my physical this Monday morning. I am not going. If they ever make me carry a rifle the first man I want to get in my sights is L.B.J. They are not going to make me kill my black brothers.""
The court did not say a threat is protected. They said this could not be reasonably seen as a threat.
So your statement 'The Supreme Court of the US has even ruled that death threats are protected speech, unless the issuer of the threat is carrying a gun or knife' is wrong.
You are wrong, dumb and arrogant. Not a good trifecta.
Actually, no it is not. There are too many interdependencies with other items that many offices use. For example we have a document management system which integrates with Office but not Linux software. Frankly, the cost of Office ends up being much less than open source once you factor in productivity savings from systems which integrate with Office. Like it or not, Microsoft wins because it is big.
It is overall your shitty attitude of "I will force this down your throat" that is the bigger issue. Yeah, some times you need to make decisions you don't like. But your confrontational, in-your-fact manner is what makes you a failure as a leader.
After an analysis of a 1TB drive, I noticed that roughly 95% were 0's with only 5% being 1's.
I was then able to compress this dramatically. I just record that there are 950M 0's and 50M 1's. The space taken up drops to around 37 bits. Throw in a few checksum bits, and I am still under eight bytes.
I am not sure what is so hard about this disaster recovery planning. Heck, I figure I am up for a promotion after I implement this.
Point 1) You said friends. I assumed you meant IRL Point 2) You do not need to friend family members. I don't. Point 3) Your family isn't necessarilly a representation of society as a whole.
I have a few people I want to keep in touch with but know I won't call. Facebook is good for this. I think I have 20 friends. It works well for me, and I spend less than ten minutes a day on it. I also wouldn't hold my 20 friends up as the average Facebooker.
The more I think about it, the more I think I need to cull about four people from my list...
Based on the number of friends I have, and the number of announcements of "hey join me at farm wars" Vs. "hai Im in ur survey you can haz cheezburger" Vs. "L@@K at me, L@@K what I did 11!111!!!" I'd say that the survey is fairly accurate
Wouldn't this more accurately be a commentary on your friend choosing skills, and possibly your character as well?
Hi. This is ironic and certainly contrary to what was expected. I don't see how you can claim otherwise.
I buy the rights to a product. I intend to manufacture it and have it make me wealthy. Instead it kills me. This is irony.
The device can be found here.
Maybe he works for Facebook...
I've spend at least 10 minutes editing this post.
Should have spent another minute.
Welcome to the internet.
The guy who discovered the exploit, or the coding process which allowed it?
I for one am happy to see IE becoming competitve again. It is good to have more than one viable alternative out there.
It's probably not possible with most of it at all, given how many wires, pipes, tubes, insulation, bolts and nuts there are there.
Yeah, I saw right through this as well.
On Slashdot?! Certainly you jest.
Thus, gay people have no soul.
Love is not the same as sex or marriage. Love is presumably part of this but one who remains unmarried is still free to love.
Please note that I am not against gay marriage. Just pointing out your logic error.
O rly? That means he agrees with me that to indoctrinate and baptize children should be illegal and prosecuted. Yay!
Huh? What? Are you suggesting parents DON'T have the right to request this? I didn't realize that sprinkling water on a child's head was assault....
Now circumcision is another matter.
Other than the fact that none of your points are accurate, you had a very ontopic post.

And seeing the ranting of some of the pro-French language, I can see why.
Well, we can see why you aren't a boss...
e Supreme Court of the US has even ruled that death threats are protected speech, unless the issuer of the threat is carrying a gun or knife.
Got a source for that?
They couldn't tell what a stop sign was regardless of what was printed on it? Sounds to me like they were trying to be pricks.

Get off my lawn!
Twenty-five years? Really? Damn... I'm old.
So the shitty slashcode may be doing us all a favor then? Visit idle and become a supergenius.
I remember it too. This is the closest I can find using my Google-fu.
