Several thousands years ago the Ten Commendments were written down on the stone, in Mesopotamia cuneiform was invented to write down the letter on the clay, in Indas civilisation many clays were found with still unknown letters, Rosetta stone was a clue for us to use stones to write down the letters.

Later papyrus was found to make paper, but we had to wait another 1500 years till Gutenberg invented the printing technic. Then the book in current form had been gradually established, till then goat skin had been used and the roles were general, the technic of binding, printing were only developed later.

We must say the history of books is not so long as we might assume.

We used to write a letter in paper with a pen. Now we rarely do so.

Library used to refer to only building that contains lots of books, now that also means collection of contents in computer.

Thank you very much indeed! -As to anime(I'm afraid my post being offtopic ), I am not accustomed to see animes since I am good at conceiving a image from descriptions, but I just always fail to accept(or refuse to accept) images already shown in animes. So unlike other ordinary country folks, I never get access to animes/ mangas at all since I was a child.

When I was in America, I was amazed to find how scarece the number of animes/ mangas in bookstores, basically at that time( 18 years ago ) I thought it is owing to differences how to grasp the world between people who use ideogram and people who use phonetics. Personally I don't like to read or watch any animes and mangas, because in my opinion they so restrict our ability to imagine what they really are like. People hold different images if we were not shown real images, but unlike real images like photo, anime/ manga limit other alternatives except for the ones that shown, and I find it not so interesting. Since I was a kid, this tendency hasn't changed yet. In the wake of manga cultures many years ago, those demerits were raised frequently in knowlegeable people, but now not. Those are a matter of our preferences though how do you think about that?

Once proportional representation is introduced in the electral college system, electoral colleges are becoming more and more ceremonial and will not affect anything regarding electing the US President, which will eventually lead to the amendment of the Constitution as an optimal consequences.

Seeing that the results of 2004 Presidential Election, Urban areas like California, East Coast elected Democratic electorates and in the rest of the US, they elected Republicans. If each state wanted to elect Democrat or Republican governer, this system would work well. But things are not for governers but for the President. The US President has to reflect people's will regardless where they live and doesn't necessarily reflect which candidate the State chose.
