Just because a browser doesn't pass the acid test 100% doesn't make it a bad browser. The acid tests (especially acid 3) are designed to test for odd edge cases to make sure the spec is implemented properly. It'd be pretty rare to actually run into any of these cases on your standard website. It's also worth mentioning that some of the tests perform differently based on your computers speed (test 26 for example). Even though it passes that particular test, it may have not done it in the recommended time frame.

Just because the font is designed to take advantage of sub pixel rendering doesn't mean that it can't be rendered without it. We haven't even seen the text without clear type yet. There is no telling how good/bad it could look, especially compared to if you are viewing the above image on a different display.

Recently a new cell phone tower was to be placed on a public school property, and the owners of the tower were going to pay the school district a nice sum every month for allowing them to do so. It would have brought in thousands of dollars each month. Yet they company was denied to place a tower there because of "health concerns." It really makes me sick how people could be such idiots. I'd put my nuts on the line any day to improve the education of young people.
