That reminds of the time some car company (Honda, I think), decided to name a new model "Honda Fitta." Which, in my native language, translates to something like "Honda The Cunt."
I fail to see how this can eliminate the need for a browser. Don't the RSS news feed contain links to the whole story? And how do you access GMail without a browser?
You're thinking of Dan O'Bannon's "Return of the Living Dead" zombies, not Romero's. As others have said, Romero's zombies needed nothing more than a headshot, or, as the original script says:
This situation is controllable. People must come to grips with this concept.
It's extremely difficult...with friends...
with family...But a dead body must be de-activated by either destroying the brain or severing the brain from the rest of the body.
I always thought that Trademarks could only be claimed in their particular field - the depth of that particular industry/field depending.
Yup. The World Wrestling Federation's efforts to save animal life must be why they're no longer a federation, but just "Entertainment."
So I am not at all shocked that network admins haven't all installed it yet.. But I bet you if you changed the survey to - "How many network admins are installing (Via Slipstream) SP2 on new installations?" you would get a very positive and different result.
I'm not an administrator myself, but wouldn't this go against the idea of a homogenous environment? After a while, they'd be dealing with some of their users on a different OS version than the majority, probably leading to several new and exciting problems which may or may not be caused by the differing versions.
Thank you!
Having studied nothing but IT, I suspected that my intense dislike for the horrible, horrible book that is "ZATAOMM" stemmed from my lack of knowledge of the field he's supposed to be writing about. Good to know that people more knowledgeable than me on the subject me also found it to be somewhat lacking - it may possibly be one of the worst high profile books I've ever read.
TFA doesn't mention anything about foreign key relationships, but it sounds more than a little weird to implement views, triggers and stored procs before FKs. Anyone know?
That said, AotC was perfectly watchable, and much better than many scifi and action movies I've seen.
AotC would've been a pretty decent flick, hadn't it been for one minor detail: The "actor" who "played" Anakin Skywalker made me want to puncture my eyeballs with a spoon. Granted, the dialog he had to work with wasn't Oscar material, but there HAD to be someone better out there.
Drying paint would've portrayed a more believable human being.
Speaking as someone who's not 100% satisfied with his current job, I have to say that I'd never quit without having something a lot better on hand - I had the misfortune of graduating just as the world found out that not everything ending with.com was a guaranteed goldmine and struggled for quite some time with finding someone willing to take me on. It may not be perfect, but
a) It pays (not "a lot", but "enough")
b) I have enough freedom to keep on top of current and upcoming technologies (I'm a developer)
and
c) My employers gave me a chance when noone else dared - they deserve my loyalty.
So - in answer to TFA's author, you may not be a fool, but too much professional pride may not be an exclusively good thing.
Would this problem have survived for so long if Arkeia Network Backup had been open source software?
Well, considering that "This appears to be an intentional design decision on the part of the Arkeia developers", I guess it would.
Is this true?
Art is difficult to define - the laziest and most inaccurate definition is "everything."
"Blogoogle"?
Oh, come on. I, for one, would welcome Bloogle. Or Bloggle.

Am I the only one in the whole wide world who actually likes Adobe's Photo Album? Or have I just missed out on a vastly superior product somewhere?
AOL!

For the love of everything that is holy, please stop. Now. I know girls who can come up with funnier stuff than this.

To watch the remaining episodes of the season, maybe?
I've been waiting for this global warming phenomenon for ages - a few more years now, and Norway'll get that Hawaiian climate I've been longing for.
