I've been saying that for quite some time actually. Although I'm not from having net access in 1988 (FFS, I was 4 years old!) when I first got a computer I started learning why it did what it did to start. I find it amazing that some people consider the PC as another eletronic in the house and should just work with a button (no Mac mentions, please) like their TVs.

It's the same with Linux, I don't suggest to any of my friends to install it yet they all go "Oh look this will be AWESOME!!!11" and start making questions to me I just say "It's the man pages. Take a look at that first." (later that became RTFM) and then they get pissed off and go back for Windows. Well, excuse me if I'm being elitist or whatever, but if you intend to use another system, at least try to learn about it and not go whining because your mplayer does not show those "beautiful" embedded fonts in your anime (yes, mplayer _can_ output those stupid formatted text AND fonts -- it's in the man pages, where else could it be?)

Well, although I agree with you in some points regarding pop music we see nowadays, you have to realize not everyone enjoys listening to a sample being mixed with another sampled in some tempo and whatever - I know, I know, there's probably more to house/dance/eletronic and these other styles but let's just leave at that - and would be offended by your way of disregarding other styles.

I enjoy listening to well constructed music - classical, progressive (rock|metal) and others - and even by that I like listening to some house that is available (I read a previous comment about a band named Justice, will search for it later if it's house).

To sum it up, someone already said to me: "Taste is like yout butthole. Each one has one and should care about his own only."

For that note I must say Captive works very good, been using it for over 6 months and the only problem I've ever had was with a 4 Gb (note that this is Gigabytes not bits) that refused to be written and I had to force an unmount. Even so, no damage to any partition was done.
