I RTFA (hey, it's Christmas!) and using my advanced English comprehension skills can hereby inform you that it's about what's apparently the last major supplier of content in the VHS format in the USA giving up on VHS. It says nothing about manufacturers of VHS media (aka blank tapes) stopping production.
I bet blank tapes will be available for a good few years yet.
There's one of those units at Keikyu Shinagawa at the end of platform 3 just before the stairs going down. I think that's the only one at Shinagawa.
I know I've glanced at it a few times but it strikes me as being a bit too far away from the main stream of people going past to convey much useful information.
I RTFA (sorry!) and it doesn't say. As I live there I'd be interested in taking a look.
(I know I won't be tracked or even just mess up their trial statistics, what with me being a foreigner and all that:
"We gathered together many faces and came up with an average Japanese face, and by using pattern matching the system recognizes faces from the image.")
Anyone know a good extension for editng / managing PHP code? I currently use "php-mode.el" (http://php-mode.sourceforge.net/), while it's OK I have a feeling there could be something better out there.
Though if the European Commission wasn't there slapping them into line, the European telcos would be doing their best to screw their travelling customers.
(In fact, the one thing my boyfriend likes about T-mobile is that when he was traipsing all over Europe, you couldn't swing a charge cable around without hitting a T-mobile tower, so be enjoyed as-good-as-home data service!)
That might have something to do with the fact that T-Mobile is a European carrier, the mobile arm of Germany's Deutsche Telekom.
Good question, I've only had it a week, and my router only does 54Mbps anyway... I can get good quality streaming video (probably not MPAA approved) from South Korea though, and there is lots of streaming content (TV, VOD) available for an extra fee (kind of like cable in reverse).
Well until recently I had a 1Mbps DSL which was plenty enough for my needs, but moving to a new place I found it had residential optical fiber, which costs about the same (not sure of the exact details, the first 5 months are free, but I think it works out to about US$40 a month).
And if it's any consolation, trans-Pacific connections aren't exactly fast (300Kb / sec on average) so it's not like I'm maxing out the tube all the time.
The extra cost for a MacBook is more than recouped by the time I don't have to spend getting Linux not just working but working *well* with cheaper PC hardware.
Or just someone holding up someone else's photo?
If your wii is yuki, you might want to see a doctor!
From the linked report: The base only has a skeleton staff through the long winter.
Well, looks like they'll be jumping each other's bones with gay abandon ;).

Hey, that would be our tax *pounds*, thankyou very much!

Oooh, it's my lucky day! I change at Keikyu Shinagawa. I'll go and wave it it when I go past in a bit.
Thanks for the info!

It's almost musical. In an avant-garde sort of way.

In short grainy snatches of up to 10 minutes.

I live on the East Coast (of Japan) and have a 100Mbps-rated optical fibre connection. Though the fastest I've got out of it is a piddling 87Mbps.
Muahaha.
You might want to look up "plate tectonics".
Not in my part of Tokyo it doesn't... Using OCN here.
Sounds like an open-source version of MySpace ().
Whoops, my attempt to use mod points to detroll you failed, hope this restores at least your points...
Or indeed MacBook keyboards.

Methinks there's a file system developer who took this a bit too literally...
Will Hans suddenly develop an interest in cake-based file systems?
