Wii U doesn't have friend codes. You can also friend people in real life and invite them over.
As for me, I found this hack where if you perform a certain action with your wife, you can make your own gaming friends. It does take time before these hacked players are good enough to be competitive. But it's worth it. Plus performing the hack is a lot of fun! So much so, I like to perform this hack even when not trying to hack in new players.
This hack also works with girlfriends and other female strangers, but I would not recommend it.
Nintendo's showing this round is not really compelling
Depends on your tastes. Sit down with some friends and play a round of Nintendo Land sometime, then form an opinion. Just because a game looks like a lot of fun doesn't mean that it isn't worth playing.:)
And why wouldn't they? I do not understand why this is confusing. If you take away competition, you no longer have to compete. Why wouldn't an insurance company want to hedge their losses on the unhealthy by forcing healthy single males to buy maternity insurance?
If everyone was suddenly forced to have tornado insurance, you bet that insurance companies would cancel plans that didn't cover tornado insurance. It's an easy hedge.
This really wasn't unexpected either. It's how this system works. If the healthy didn't have to buy insurance they didn't need then it would cause premiums to skyrocket. Now this isn't me dissing or supporting this plan, but just telling it like it is. The plan all along was that the healthy had to buy insurance they didn't need to support the unhealthy who wouldn't have been insured otherwise. Whether that is a good thing or not simply depends on your opinion.
Could you imagine how awkward it would be for SEGA to buy XBox? Sonic in Smash Bros.? Sonic and Mario at the Olympics? What's Nintendo to do at that point?
I would prefer for it to become a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo. They could be able to have a console catered to Western bro-gamers and a console that caters to the rest of us. They could also leverage some of the technology. Live on Wii U anyone?
You do realize that Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, The Wonderful 101, etc... don't look like crap, right? Not once while playing Pikmin 3 did I ever think, "Gee this game is fun, but it needs more polygons". Sometimes people want a Prius, other times they want a Mustang.
I wasn't making an air tight, slam dunk, deductive argument. I'm saying that it is the popular opinion among people who think they're intelligent to pretend that there is no free will. I think that if they are free then they are idiots for giving up rational reality just so that they can pretend that there exists a wholly natural deterministic universe. This is what it is all about. People are so opposed to the supernatural (not to be confused with magic and superstition) that they will pretend they don't have a will. Who knows, perhaps I'm the only one with a will, but somehow I doubt it.
Allow me to falsify your statement that "real scientist(sic) starts with data/facts" Many scientists (though not all) believe in a multiverse. The multiverse by definition is "super"natural. The idea of a multiverse is usually offered like this in order to provide an alternative explanation to the "Goldilocks" principle (or teleological argument for the existence of God if you will).
1) There exists a multiverse where many (or infinite) local universes exists each with their own laws of physics or constants. 2) We live in the universe that has the laws of physics and constants set up that allows our life exists. 3) Therefore the universe was not designed, but exists by necessity.
So if we look at our universe as being natural then the multiverse is "super"natural. It contains all the sets of physics from all universes. It is a superset of all universes. Yes, there exists even the most naturalistic scientists, like Lawrence Krauss, who believes in a multiverse or a supernatural existence.
You are correct that "properly basic beliefs" are assumptions. But they are assumptions with a choice. I understand that it is impossible to prove to anyone but myself that I have a will, but here is how I feel about this subject:
1.) Cool and hip people deny they have a will so that they can appear 'enlightened' 2.) Enlightenment implies a will. 3.) Therefore cool and hip people are idiots.
I mean this is Occam's Razor here. I don't care if believing something so obvious makes me look like an idiot, because I feel the same way about free entities that deny they are free.
Depends on who you ask. Some people would not necessarily believe that he or she is 'just a chemical reaction'. As unhip as it is, I really don't think I'm 'just a chemical reaction'. I have will. I don't know about the rest of the world, but I know I have a will. Now when you come back and start flaming me for believing what is known as a properly basic belief (that I am real), just keep in mind that you're not real and therefore your arguments to the contrary matters about as much as cleverbot's.
I think the big problem with believing that people are real is that it feels supernatural. And since arm chair scientists are allergic to the idea that there exists a nature outside of our nature (that is a super nature or supernatural - not to be confused with magic), they will go through gyrations to deny such an obvious truth as in that 'I am real'.
Now cleverbots, bring on the pitchforks. Be sure to downvote this to (Score:-1 Probably a Christian) if you have mod points.
What's stopping Eve from sending herself an email from a novice computer user and having said user give out their card info? Since anyone can send an email using any email address, this feels problematic.
The average Nintendo gamer is going to be quite different than the average Steam gamer (though I realize there are fans of both). So it doesn't feel like it's going to be one of those things where someone says, "Should I get GTA V on Steam or Super Mario 3D World on Wii U?"
As far as XBox One and PS4, those are closer to Steam's audience, but in the age of having multiple consoles, I don't see it cutting into their sales much.
I hardly believe it's an age issue. You would have to demonstrate that the same person made different decisions at different points in their life. It would be like saying, "The older you get, the more likely you'll not know how to use a cell phone." It's just not true.
The reality is that you have generational cultures. For example, I'd bet older people smoke more too. Doesn't mean I'm going to do it when I get old. I know better now than they did at my age.
It's called "balloon air". Supposedly it is the byproduct of helium used for scientific and medical purposes. It's not pure helium. Personally I'm not sure if this is lobbying or true. It certainly sounds plausible.
But I just want buttons. I want to be able to rest my thumb on something and then press down when I need to. I hope I'm wrong, but this thing just looks uncomfortable.
There's a traffic light near where I live that is unusually dim. Furthermore, with LEDs, it is possible that the light can be covered in snow. A human can see the dim red through the snow whereas a computer may not. Finally near where I live they have put in some funky new lights that indicates you can only turn left, but must yield to traffic. Threw me for a loop the first time I saw one.
Sure it's plausible. Atomic clocks. What the exploiter did was try to time the leak so that it happened exactly after the fed announced its decision before anyone else had a chance to react on it. They performed the trades at exactly 2:00 so that it all looked kosher. The problem was that they did it faster than what is physically possible and thus what was a plan to give plausible deniability backfired and thus exposed that they had insider knowledge.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm in the camp of I understand the rating system and actively play games, so I don't buy inappropriate games. That being said, sometimes the ratings are a bit off. Super Smash Bros. and Infamous don't deserve the same rating. One is okay for my house, the other is not.
Same thing with TV shows. A show isn't approved just because its TV-Y or TV-Y7. I watch what my kids watch.
I think that if you put the effort into being a parent, kids turn out okay.

But moderating me that way would imply I have a will. Therefore it would defeat this hipster armchair scientist thinking that I don't.

Nintendo was out of the race before it even began.
You must be new to gaming.
So... did you miss the part where I said
(though I realize there are fans of both)
???
That's great that you like both mature games like Mario Bros. and immature games. But typically people will fall into one camp or another.
The average Nintendo gamer is going to be quite different than the average Steam gamer (though I realize there are fans of both). So it doesn't feel like it's going to be one of those things where someone says, "Should I get GTA V on Steam or Super Mario 3D World on Wii U?"

What can I say, I like the more modern design. Now it looks like all of the other sites I visit.
Ah... What threw me off was that you quoted AmiMoJo rather than gl4ss. I wasn't sure what gl4ss was saying either.
It's called "balloon air". Supposedly it is the byproduct of helium used for scientific and medical purposes. It's not pure helium. Personally I'm not sure if this is lobbying or true. It certainly sounds plausible.

Well, when you transmit data using neutrinos, FTL communication is possible, right? /joke
I meant "tried to time the trade"
