Now Spaniards caught grabbing content ... will have to reimburse rights holders for losses --- although such losses will be difficult for authorities to track.

The money collected will be paid back to the owner of the copyright.
So, I'm curious as to how exactly that will "work." Do they mean the RIAS or whatever they're called will just get to keep the royalties, and toss a Peseta or two out occasionally to a random artist?

The solution to AIDS is obvious. Abstinence is guaranteed to be effective.

Unfortunately, that just isn't true. I don't know the number off the top of my head, but a large percentage of AIDS victims are so not because of sex, but from unclean medical and drug environments. People get HIV/AIDS from blood transfusions, immunizations, and illegal drug use as well.

I guess Slashdot waited a couple of weeks after this hit the internet this so everyone else could see it before the site got slashdot-ed? Seriously, this was on Engadget two weeks ago today!

WTF? 10 GB (well, I guess if the bootloader by itself is 83MB I shouldn't be surprised) and you cant use multidisc or upgrade versions (or even win2k!) I'll wait for the 'hacker' releases thanks Apple!

The 83MB download includes an 82.9MB ISO for the hardware driver CD you have to burn.

Actually, home Macs (at least iMacs) come with AppleWorks bundled. It's no Word, but it'll beat out MS Works any day! :-)

Wait, I'm confused.... What happens when Apple puts an Intel CPU into my Mac? Will it be like matter/anti-matter, and power itself infinitely?

Uh... I'm not sure that you know this, but the human eye can't discern frames beyond 30 FPS. Even HD video runs at 29.97 FPS. There's no point in running something at 60 FPS when your eye can't tell the difference.
