That was exactly the point I was trying to make- that it was a stupid statement to say the procedure was free. I like the military, I think they are being compensated horribly for what they do. I'm not sure why I'm being flamed so.
If what I said came accross as any affront to those who serve in the military, I fear my I've been misunderstood. My point was simply that medical care is not free, and it would be nice if we had access to the same healthcare system as those in the military, as well as those who work for any federal agency, as well as the loftiest of Congresscritters, get. But I wouldn't dare offer insult to anyone in the military, and upon rereading my comment, I'm not sure how you got that.
Remember, there's no free lunch! Somebody paid for that surgery. Wouldn't it be nice if we all had access to the same health care system that those in the military have, given that we're already paying for it? A man can dream.
I think it depends on the state you're from, but as a Montanan (where there is no sales tax), it is sometimes worthwhile to go to Idaho or Washington for a big ticket item, flash my MT drivers license, fill out a little form, and pay no sales tax. I'm pretty sure all states have to honor that, but since most states have sales taxes it isn't worth messing with.
Remember what our old friend Henry Kissinger said:
"The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer."
Always keep in mind the total contempt for everyday people those with power posess. I think this is just a natural consequence of the concentration of power that has taken place in this country over the last century- fewer and fewer people have any real decision making authority, and what is legal or illegal becomes an irrelevant distinction. Good times.
Prosecution? Prosecution? Ha! Thats good. Picture this- Johnny Terrorist dials your number by accident. The communication gets logged in the NSA database. Over to your house come the agents to offer a little extraordinary rendition fun! Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!
But do you really expect the bad companies to follow the laws anyway? Isn't this a case of laws being written to keep good companies from doing bad things? Seems like the only law that really applies in the end is caveat emptor.

I'm not quite sure how that rebuts the claim that the procedure was free. Please advise.

How long until a recall is issued?
Um, what's hen exercising? Sounds like you have an interesting wife.
I imagine the test procedure will look something like this:
Ho (Null hypothesis): Video games do not make children more violent.
Ha (Alternative hypothesis): Video games make children more violent.
Test- gather data until Ho is rejected.
Publish!
See- you too can be a government statistician!
Not sure if cryptic is the right word

Washington Post: So. . . do you think this is an acceptable way to fight terrorism, or the best way to fight terrorism?
