    I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most people who would download a strange BT client probably wouldn't know they've got spyware on their system in the first place. They're the type of people who take the computer to the shop every two months because "it's slow".

    I recall an article I read in PC World or something similar (cringe) a few years back, that extolled the merits of leaving the overclocking rat race, running your CPU at the rated speed, and the contentment and satisfaction it would bring in the long run.

    After realizing that whatever money I saved by buying a cheaper proc and overclocking to the next stepping would be eaten up by the added costs of an upgraded cooling solution, I took this advice. My system now runs cooler and quiter, cheaper, and I really don't miss the extra 5 FPS in my games.

    Not that I don't enjoy a good hair-splitting now and then, but the "Government sponsored supported and controlled" part pretty much sums up the argument, don't you think?

    Spaceship One and the like are civilian projects. NASA is...something else.

    The more cynical among us suspect this was a primary reason for the lawsuit in the first place.

    There was even a larger public outcry each year when they threatened to cancel TOS, but the only thing they asked people to sign were letters, not checks. This plea for financial aid strikes me as a little distasteful.
