Well just to prove a point to broderbound I copied prinshop. THey had such an arrogant copy protection scheme on the apple I had to do it to make them understand. Them telling me I couldnt make a back up copy I thought was stupid so I cracked the puppy and mailed them a copy. I recieved a very intresting letter a about 3 weeks later (keep in mind that in the 80s the there wasnt realy email address we sent letters using something called the U.s. mail...An archaic and over taxed method of communications that for some reason still exist) Well they proceeded to tell me I was wrong to have copied the disk. I explained to them in another letter that my apple didnt have an hd and that I need a back up in case the disk 2 dammaged the disk. THey replied with a warning. this irritated me a scad so I made many more back up copies for uh archival purposes (NOT THAT I WOULD GIVE THEM AWAY FREE) and I put the crack up on a bbs. (yes yes I cracked broader bound stupid print shop and I am sure that 6 other people did the same- My father says he should have made me go to girl scouts instead of buying me a computer- ) well I am sure that quite a few people copied it...I think these companies that are arrogant like this need a kick in the pants. Currently there exist a technology to use plastic wires that would replace the existing circuitry in the vehicle. Now keep in mind that plasic is an insulator but we can add a strip of conductive ink or even go fiber to a network location and run the controls via fiber or useage of plastic wire.
Cars for instance should not be made out of metal at all. We should be using almost 100 percent plastics in the body and maybe even the frame. Less weight = less load = less work = less energy required to move the object. "work =force x distance "

If we consider the unused surface area of all the road ways in america and if we were to calculate the amount of energy that could give us in say joules or horsepower It could be a signifigant number even with older tech from the 80s (old style solar collectors) but if we were to embed the the road way with self repairing nanites the act as collectors, then we may have a viable source of energy. As for a high speed train...I do not believe I offered a suggestion into anything like a train. My concern is energy alternatives. Untapped sources specifically. They could turn the highways in to one giant solar collector. 2nd embedding the roads with millions of these devices working collectively would not be that difficult and would be immune to being crushed due to their size,durrability and the ability to repair themselves. Currently there exist a technology to use plastic wires that would replace the existing circuitry in the vehicle. Now keep in mind that plasic is an insulator but we can add a strip of conductive ink or even go fiber to a network location and run the controls via fiber or useage of plastic wire. Cars for instance should not be made out of metal at all. We should be using almost 100 percent plastics in the body and maybe even the frame. I dont think that I flamed someone. However I do agree and your ideal is logical. If we consider the unused surface area of all the road ways in america and if we were to calculate the amount of energy that could give us in say joules or horsepower It could be a signifigant number even with older tech from the 80s (old style solar collectors) but if we were to embed the the road way with self repairing nanites the act as collectors, then we may have a viable source of energy. As for a high speed train...I do not believe I offered a suggestion into anything like a train. My concern is energy alternatives. Untapped sources specifically. The key here is once again laying down the hack ANyone remember DIvx? how they tried to sell pay per view dvds? how long did that last? Lets see- sony disc...How many people do archival backups of playstation disc? No I doubt that any protection scheme they think of will not be hacked...I remember back in 89' when broader bound had printshop and boasted I could not make a copy of it...I did so and sent them a working copy....They sent me back a letter stating I should not do that, In which case I causualy tossed it away with out regard.
