playes movies and games and it could even emulate sega, atari and even nes provided one had a source of roms- not that I know anything about that...
Ya know, they should consider doing a more uptodate version with the current administation...
then homeland security could come arrest and hold them for making a terrorist training device...
I would hate to be the game manufacture when the letters start pouring if from the sheep(the santified masses who oppose everything from beer nuts to gay marridge and would gladly pick the corn out of king georges floaters)
This game could seriously generate some bad press...I hope they do well but It seem to me that since King george took over...His nazi's and others like the moral mojority sh*t heads and the religeous right wingers are ready to pounce...
I say buy this game and check out all the subversive library books you can find!

This is a signifigant advance in my oppinion for the electric car industry...
Despite the cost of the proto-type the research points toward getting further away from fossile fuels...And after all this is the fossile fuel age not the computer age, the electronic age or even the age of enlightenment (the latter evident since we still rely on fossible fuels to power our major transportation modes)
The current hybrids are indeed a step in the right direction. But we are spoiled on the use of oil- we are dependent on comming and going when we want and oil as a power source to service that need has yet to be surpased...Really before we can truly accept electric transportion altenatives we will need to adapt a new and more conservation oriented attitude in gear with eltric alternatives...Forsinstance...the personal automobile may become less and less and electric trains may become a more dominant source of transportation. The pros being we will have safer and more reliable transportation. the cons being we will not be able to go by our own sched...
A price we will have to pay to achieve the loft goal of electric tranportation...Or at least till we develope a battery that charges as fast as a capacitor yet holds its charge like a battery...
Ok thats a swell idea but My cell phone can play regular run of the mill mpegs and mp3's
so me thinks that the ipod is still in developement compared to my tmobile phone which also can play streaming audio off the internet and a big ole gnarly bunch of other things...
ipod is very cool... but with 1 gig sd cards I can do pretty much the same stuff...
and a bunch more...the only thing I see that it has going for it is the 40 gig drive...
I fail to understand why we would want an ipod when in fact you can get a single device that can do everything...

Or we could all just have chips implanted into our brains...Reminds me of the old amiga kick start rom upgrade...Ok sure you buy this chip and now What? how to install...Ok so I smashed it into my forhead...at first nothing then the familiar blue amiga kick start boot up screen and that was all...

Someday I think cell phones will do everthing we need..right now mine handles all of my communication including internet...And I can even listen to streaming audio- radio stations that re-broadcast on the net...
One device is all you need...

Ok so here is what you do get a smart phone (a ppc not some awful palm piece of #$^%"smart phone" )
then you get some sd or cf cards or the cf hard drive made by ibm....
then just load up those with mp3s and what ever you want...
on my Tmobile phone/ppc I can watch movies. listen to mp3s and even get streaming audio downloaded from the net...
in addition I can add blue tooth or wifi...
so why get an ipod?
sure it can hold 40gb or music. but I am willing to deal with swapping out 1 gig sd cards when I want to change music and have all the advantages that my hand held offeres NOT TO MENTION STREAMIMG AUDIO OFF THE NET WHICH MEANS I CAN LISTEN TO RADIOSTATIONS TOO.
why spend all that money on a device that does only one thing?
I even have 5 different types of game machine emulators on it( sega ms, Sega gs, atairy, c64 and amiga) When I want to play music through my car stereo I can plug the head phone adaptor into a wireless transmitter and listen to mp3s while buzzing down the road....
